Victor snapped, “Why are you here, Grace? Did someone tell you I was at the hospital, and you’re here waiting for me?

I never expected him to misunderstand me so completely. Just as I opened my mouth to explain, he grabbed my collar and slammed my head against
the wall.

The doctor who had examined me was so frightened that he dropped his stethoscope to the floor.

Victor kicked him before he could finish. “I don’t care what she brought!”
