“Is., is that you, Aria?”
Jaxon’s voice was shaking.
“Yeah.”
The next second, Jaxon opened the door and yanked me inside, locking the door behind me.
There was a horrible, pungent smell in the apartment that made me cover my nose and mouth.
Looking up at Jaxon, I saw that in just half a month, he’d deteriorated drastically-his face was swollen, his hair disheveled.
His eyes were bloodshot as he stared at me.
After a long moment, his lips moved as he slowly spoke few words:
“My mom’s dead.”
“It’s all your fault! Aria, why did you stop my mom’s medical care? I want you to join her in death!”
With that, Jaxon lunged at me like a madman, wrapping his hands around my throat.
Instantly, I couldn’t break free or breathe, and Jaxon laughed like a demon:
Aria, I waited for your conscience to kick in, for you to come treat my mom, but she died before you ever showed up. Why are you so fucking evil?!”
I managed to gasp out:
You’re the one who watched your mom die without…without taking her to the hospital. How is that… my fault?!”
‘Still making excuses!”
axon tightened his grip.
felt like my neck was about to snap.
He still snarled viciously.
Taking care of my mom was always your responsibility, Aria. Why did you suddenly stop? Did you need me to beg you to make you happy?”
You know what, Aria? Before my mom died, she was in agony, crying and begging me to take her to the hospital.
She cried for three days and nights, suffered for three days and nights, and I spent three torturous days and nights waiting for you!”
Why are you so heartless?!”
But… when my mom took her last breath, I remembered everything!”
Aria, you were reborn too, weren’t you?”
was shocked, and seeing the terror on my face, Jaxon’s laughter became even more unrestrained.
‘Being reborn, you must really want revenge on me, right?”
You got Willow locked up in a mental hospital, you destroyed my reputation, you let my mom die miserably.”
‘You think you won? Dream on!”
With that, Jaxon pointed to gas canisters in the corner of the living room:
“See those? I’ve got nothing left to lose. I’m not afraid to die.”
“That gasoline will definitely make us reborn again, and next time, I’ll be ready for you. Next time, you’ll be the one to DIE!”
Right at the three minute mark, my bodyguards broke down the door and pulled me out.
(immediately shouted:
“RUN!!”
Without hesitation, the bodyguards didn’t say a word and just carried me, rushing downstairs.
When Jaxon realized I’d escaped, he struggled to chase after me but was consumed by the flames.
0 minutes later, Police finally arrived and evacuated the crowd.
The fire department came too and put out the fire in time.
axon-was the only fatality in the incident.
nd with that, this whole nightmare finally came to an end.
my classmates’ eyes, I was still the humble, kind rich girl I’d always been.
My father’s company hadn’t faced any malicious boycotts and was thriving.
ven my two roommates who’d been turned against me by Willow’s manipulation apologized to me.
Finally, everything was back on track…
