Chapter 28
Chapter 28
Esther placed the diamond tiara Jasper had brought her on Tinkerbell’s head. She looked lovingly at the girl, her expression tender.
Jasper knocked on the door. “Esther, can I come in now?”
“Yes.”
Jasper entered the room carrying a pink coffin.
“Would you like to put her in, or shall I?”
Esther gently lifted Tinkerbell and placed her in the coffin. It was small and pink, with beautiful hand-painted designs inside and gems and ornate carvings on the outside.
After carefully placing Tinkerbell in the coffin, Esther smoothed her hair and dress, then adjusted her tiara.
Jasper said, handing her an envelope. “Your maternity test results with Tinkerbell are back.”
Esther took the envelope and quickly flipped through the pages. She went to the last page and saw that the match was 99.99%.
This meant that Tinkerbell was her daughter.
“Tinkerbell, I’m going to take you to see Daddy,” Esther said, her voice thick with tears.
Tinkerbell was Bradley’s daughter. He should have been aware of her existence and known that his callousness had led to her death. He must be held responsible for what happened!
Esther clutched the maternity test results and kissed Tinkerbell’s forehead.
“The car is ready. Let’s go,” Jasper said.
Jasper closed the coffin and left the hospital with Esther and the hearse. They drove to the private hospital owned by the Warner Group.
The hospital staff was in a festive mood today, as Bradley’s son had just had a successful surgery. The man was so happy that he had given everyone a bonus.
The hearse pulled up in front of the hospital, and Jasper and Esther stepped out. Jasper then pushed the coffin into the lobby.
“Mr. Searle, what is this?” Cole hurried over after receiving the news, attempting to intervene.
Esther, looking ghostly pale, gazed lifelessly at him. “Cole, I need to see Bradley. Tell him to
come to me!”
“Mrs. Warner…”
Unexplained worry surged through Cole as he saw Jasper pushing the pink coffin. Had something happened to Tinkerbell?
“What’s going on?”
Felix’s surgery was a success, and Bradley was in a good mood. Why would Esther pop in at this moment to… annoy him?
“Cole, inform Bradley Warner that if he doesn’t come to me…” Esther’s eyes glinted with hatred. “I’ll make him regret it for the rest of his life!”
