Liliane’s eyes scanned the removed oxygen tube, and she smirked with
icy gaze.
What would become of Felix now that he was without the oxygen tube?
Liliane took a deep breath and transformed her demeanor in a split second, becoming the image of a gentle, caring mother. The menacing, shameless, and vicious Liliane vanished as if it were just an illusion.
She rubbed her eyes until they were red before turning around and heading to the door.
Little did Liliane know that the moment she turned around, Felix clutched his blanket tightly. His subtly quivering body revealed his current distress and fear.
Felix couldn’t help but recall the words Liliane had whispered next to his ears just moments ago.
Ever one believed that Esther was the one hurting him, but the true culprit was the mother he had been calling “Mommy” for four years–Liliane.
Was what she said true? Was he really Esther and Bradley’s child?

Terrified by the sudden change of events, Felix dared not open his eyes. He feared that Liliane would harm him if she knew he
was awake.
Felix couldn’t resist opening his eyes slightly and saw that Liliane had already opened the door of the ward.
She faced Bradley’s angry expression with tearful eyes as she said, ‘Brad, Esther coughed up blood. She definitely didn’t mean to harm Felix. She just lost her mind due to the pain of losing her daughter.”
Bradley gently pushed Liliane aside and coldly interrupted her. “Liliane, don’t let her fool you!”
Bradley had been soft–hearted because Esther had saved his life as a child. However, her actions crossed the line when she threatened Felix’s safety.
He walked swiftly to the bedside. Glancing at Esther, who was slumped next to Felix and on the verge of death, he grabbed her arm and discarded her like unimportant garbage.
Fortunately, Cole, who had followed him in, caught Esther before she hit the floor. Otherwise, Bradley would have thrown her directly onto the cold floor.
Esther was barely breathing in Cole’s arms, and her pulse was irregular. The once bright and beautiful Esther now struggled for her last breath..
Cole didn’t dare to bother Bradley with Esther’s condition. He picked her up and rushed out of the ward, urgently telling the medical staff outside the door, “Hurry, save her.”
