Chapter 92
“Of course there is. I’m here today to discuss Optima Enterprises,” I said.
Camille’s expression darkened at my words, and she snapped, “Fucking muttface, you came just to mock at me, didn’t you? Throw him out!”
I paid no response to her angry expression and calmly said, “Don’t throw tantrums like a child, Ms. Layton. I’m here to help you resolve the problem.”
Camille wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, but even she could tell I was up to no good. ” Bullshit! I’m no three–year–old!”
I chuckled. “Optima Enterprises came to me. They’re fed up with your constant issues.
“Your contract with them lasts only two years, so they’ve decided not to work with you after that. I’m offering to work with Optima Enterprises as a team.
“I’ll handle everything. You just hold onto your shares and wait for dividends.”
Camille had looked like she wanted to lash out again, but she paused and thought it over. Given the current situation, my offer to cooperate was her best course of action.
Naturally, I could wait until their contract expired two years later, but I didn’t want to. I had to start devouring Layton Group as soon as I could.
“If you refuse, that’s fine. But let me warn you–if things keep going the way they are, Optimá Enterprises will definitely terminate your partnership when the time comes.”
With that, I turned to leave, but Camille called out to stop me. “Fine! Let’s cooperate!”
She was accustomed to being a hands–off boss, so she was unaware of the trap she was walking into. Otherwise, why had I spoken to her and not Benson?
The partnership was soon sealed. I took 70% of the shares, while she got 30%.
Of course she wasn’t happy about it. But since I had her by the throat, she had no choice.
With the contract signed, the next step was to kick Layton Group out entirely.
“I didn’t expect you to be this loyal, Max. What’s the matter? Still can’t let go of Layton Group, can you?” Camille sneered as she finished signing.
I spat, “You’re joking, Ms. Layton. I have no intention of coming back.”
“If you don’t, why solve such a big problem for us? You don’t like me or anything, do you, Max?”
Camille’s words made me want to throw up. Where did she even get the confidence to say that?
“Excuse me. I’ll get going now,” I said. I couldn’t stand staying there another second, so I

grabbed the contract before turning to leave.
“You don’t have to admit it, Max. I know you did all this just to teach me a lesson, so I’d finally listen to you, right? My dad told me everything.
I stopped in my tracks and instinctively turned around, looking confused. “What are you talking about?”
“What am I talking about? Stop dreaming!
“I’m telling you, I’ll never listen to you. If anything, you should be listening to me instead!”
Camille was still lost in her ridiculous delusions.
Poor Benson. Was this how he’d tried to brainwash her? That was pretty impressive.
I laughed out loud at the absurdity of the situation and walked out. She’d understand just how ridiculous her words were the moment the termination contract from Optima Enterprises landed on her desk.
I went straight to Henry. Since I now held 70% of the shares, I was the major shareholder, which meant. I had the right to terminate the original contract.
After signing the termination contract with Henry on behalf of Layton Group, I signed a new partnership deal between Optima Enterprises and my company.
As my pen hit the paper, I smiled. Things had gone more smoothly than I’d expected.
