At dusk, Ferris finished work and drove to the medical center.
Passing by my office, he paused for a moment.
He told himself he was just here to find Ashley and had accidentally passed by Aurora’s office.

‘Alpha Ferris, are you here to see Dr. Windsor?” a passing nurse asked casually.
Ferris replied calmly: “I have matters to discuss with Dr. Windsor.”
‘Dr. Windsor has already left.”
He turned his head, lowering his voice to repeat: “She’s already left?”
After receiving the nurse’s confirmation, he frowned.
He knew I never left work early.
“Ferris!”
At that moment, Ashley ran toward him with a bright smile: “Is the meeting over?”
Ferris responded with a soft sound.
Ashley glanced at my tightly closed office door and grabbed Ferris’s arm: “You went the wrong way! My office isn’t here!”
Ferris felt inexplicably uncomfortable. He quietly withdrew his hand and asked: “Haven’t you finished work yet?”
“Almost.” Ashley moved closer to him, appearing to others like a sweet couple. “By the way, will you have dinner with me later?”

Sensing me calling to him, he imperceptibly curled his lip and stepped aside to respond to my connection.
“Have you thought it through? Ready to apologize?”
