Milo Ellison was my pharmaceutical company partner during university. I was responsible for drug development while he handled operations and sales, but later, because I became Ferris’s Luna and focused on taking care of him, I withdrew from the company.
Actually, I had continued researching in the pharmaceutical field all these years, but my output was limited and couldn’t be mass–produced.
This was why the medicines I developed were so sought after in the black market.
However, I was about to go to Black Mountain Pack, and I didn’t know if my work there would go smoothly, so I couldn’t agree to Milo’s request so quickly.
Milo didn’t know what my concerns were, but he said to me very seriously: “Aurora, the company needs you. You also have a stake in the company. I hope you can come back and take charge.”

I hesitated for a moment, then told him the truth: “Soon, I’ll be developing my career in Black Mountain Pack, so I might not be able to join your company.”
Milo was stunned for a moment, then said: “That’s not a problem. I can fund the construction of a laboratory for you in Black Mountain Pack and assign you a few assistants.”
This showed considerable sincerity.
I was thinking it over when Milo smiled gently and said: “No need to rush your answer. There’s an intelligent surgical system clinical research conference next week. If you’re interested, we could go together.”
My eyes lit up.
This was a high–level academic event. The attendees would undoubtedly be top scholars and respected healers from wolf packs across the country.
This was a great opportunity.
