I was stunned and sat up from the bed: “Mr. Warrick?”
Honestly, I had been so busy today that if Evan hadn’t contacted me, I would have forgotten about this morning’s incident.
“I’ve had someone fix your car. You can come pick it up later.”
Before I could finish speaking, Evan added: “If you’re busy, I can have someone drive it back to you.”
I instinctively refused: “No need to trouble yourself, I can pick it up myself.”
Perhaps because I refused too decisively, there was silence on the other end.
‘Alright, I’ll send you the repair shop’s contact information in a bit.”
‘Okay, thank you for the trouble.”
The next day I went to pick up the car. After arriving at the 4S shop, I asked the staff: “How much does the repair cost in total?”
The staff member smiled and said: “Ma’am, you don’t need to pay anything. You can just drive it away directly.”

So Evan had paid for me?

Mr. Warrick, it’s me, Aurora.”
Evan: “I know. What’s the matter?”

Evan was silent for a moment, then said: “I’ll send you the account number in a bit.”
Okay.” I said politely: “Sorry to bother you. Also, about yesterday’s incident, thank you very much.”

After saying that, he hung up first.
drove the car back to my newly rented apartment, and bought some new furniture and flowers on the way to decorate the house.
The room was cleaned spotlessly, with sunlight streaming in, bright and warm.
Looking at the bouquet of blooming flowers on the table, my mood became lighter too–as if everything was quietly telling me that a new life was really about to >egin.

Inside the villa.
Ferris stumbled through the door. He had just finished a business dinner and had drunk quite a bit. His head was splitting with pain.
The housekeeper Mary looked behind him, “Alpha Ferris, didn’t Luna come back with you?”
Ferris: “She’s not home?”

Mary looked confused, “Didn’t Luna go out with you? She hasn’t been home these past few days.”

As she spoke, she suddenly stopped.
She remembered that a few days ago, she had noticed many of Aurora’s clothes missing from the closet.
That day. Aurora was getting ready for work when Mary asked with concern: “Luna Aurora, it seems like you’re missing a lot of clothes. They weren’t lost, were
they?”
She had already noticed that many of Aurora’s personal belongings had gradually disappeared from the villa.
Now that so many clothes had disappeared too, it was hard not to be suspicious.
Aurora just smiled and calmly replied: “Those old clothes that didn’t fit well, I donated them.”
Mary breathed a sigh of relief and said: “It’s almost time to change seasonal clothes anyway. Luna Aurora, you should have Alpha Ferris buy you some new
clothes.”
Aurora at that time just smiled faintly and didn’t respond to the suggestion.
Mary couldn’t help but wonder: Did Luna’s unusual behavior a few days ago mean that something was about to happen?
Ferris frowned and walked upstairs.
In the second–floor room, all the cosmetics and skincare products on the vanity were gone, and the small decorations in the room had disappeared too.
He opened the closet–there wasn’t a single piece of clothing inside.
All of Aurora’s belongings had vanished.
This room had returned to how it looked before she moved in.
Ferris’s breathing became increasingly rapid, his heart filled with irritation.
Fine, just fine.
she dared to threaten him by running away from home? How bold of her.
This time he wanted to see how long she could hold out.
Ten days? Half a month?
erris was annoyed by her leaving without a word, planning to ignore her for a while.
He also wanted to let her know that without her, he could still live freely and happily.
Ferris had drunk too much alcohol and stumbled all the way back to the bedroom, collapsing on the bed and falling asleep.
When he opened his eyes again, it was because of pain.
‘Aurora, my stomach hurts.” Ferris called out groggily, “Bring me some meds.”
