Chapter 27
Aurora’s statement was released in the afternoon.
She used that account she hadn’t activated for a long time.
The content was simple.
Aurora: The online speculation about the love triangle involving Ethan, Lilian, and me has been growing nonstop. Currently, Ethan and I are still legally married. I hereby make this statement to ask that all this drama stop. As for everything else, the truth will become clear in time.
No sooner had she posted it than the negative comments flooded in, just as expected.
“What do you mean ‘stop’? And ‘truth will become clear in time’? Why don’t you just take the hint and step down!”
“Yeah, yeah. Lilian’s about to die, and you can’t even be kind enough to get a divorce yourself?”
“How disgusting. What’s the point of this post? Trying to remind everyone you’re the ‘real wife’ and blame Lilian? If you
don’t have the charm to keep your husband, who else can you blame?”
“Emphasizing you’re still married? We all know what you’re really thinking.”
“I hate these sneaky types. Lilian at least openly admitted she likes Ethan.”
“Exactly. And Lilian didn’t do anything wrong. She just picked Ethan up for work. From those photos and timelines the
reporters gave, Lilian only stayed a short while-unless Ethan is impotent…”
“Hey, our Mr. Steele is definitely not impotent!”
The barrage of harsh comments kept coming. Alexander looked at Aurora in the hospital room, clearly conflicted.
He said, “You’re just giving them a way to vent.”
Aurora put down her phone calmly.
“Even if they don’t comment on my page, they’ll comment on other videos. It’s the same either way.”
Alexander frowned slightly.
“I don’t get it. This statement is toothless-no lawyer’s letter, nothing. Why did you post it?”
Aurora looked up at him.
“That’s exactly the point.”
“It’s just a statement.”
“It serves no other purpose than to leave a record.”
Alexander still didn’t fully understand but trusted Aurora. If she felt confident, then it wouldn’t affect the company.

After all, the contracts were signed with “Rory” and “Alba,” not Aurora herself. What did it matter?
Aurora put down her phone and focused on preparing the first live broadcast of VocalNight.
She hadn’t told Alexander she was making a backup plan.
This statement at least meant that first, Aurora was aware of the internet uproar over the love triangle and the flood of hateful comments. Second, he had made a public statement, warning and reminding people about Ethan and Lilian’s behavior. Third, the more negative comments below the statement, the greater the harm she had suffered, and the more
solid the evidence of a broken relationship.
If the divorce went through smoothly, all the better. If not, Aurora would sue again.
She was determined to leave Ethan.
Meanwhile, in the Steele Group building, the door to the CEO’s office was knocked on.
Ethan looked up and saw Zane.
“What is it?”
Zane came in and handed Ethan a tablet.
“Mr. Steele, madam posted a statement from her personal account.”
Knowing it was her account, Ethan’s brow furrowed.
After marriage, he had discussed with Aurora that she needed to consult him before posting anything, since she was not
just Aurora but also Mrs. Steele. But now…
Ethan glanced at his phone. She still hadn’t messaged him.
So this was her acting on her own.
Ethan reached out and took the tablet, reading the statement on the screen.
