Chapter 34
While Nathan was grilling Vivian in the Bentley, Vivian’s PR team was scrambling as
oreLive Audio
hashtag exploded,
Owen Kim stared at the trending topic, weighing their options. He shot Vivian quick text about the situation.
“We managed to get the original posters banned, but these guys are smart–brought in reinforcements and pushed it viral. Too many eyes on it now. More takedowns would look sketchy as hell. What’s the play? Here are our options…”
Their team always gave Vivian multiple strategies to choose from. She picked one within minutes.
Meanwhile, Se7ven watched #YesterdayOnce More Live Audio climb the trending charts with satisfaction. Silencing a couple people was one thing, but what about hundreds?
Regular users were jumping into the conversation. Se7ven waited for his vindication. Then the narrative shifted-
“Big talk, zero evidence.”
“Yeah, if you’re gonna make claims, bring receipts. Anyone can spread bullshit online these days.”
“Classic Elena stan trying to drag down ‘Slight Love.‘ Pathetic.”
“Toxic fans are worse than haters. Does Elena even know you’re doing this crap?”
“Bet this is Elena’s PR team. Look how coordinated this hashtag push is.”
“Exactly. Vivian doesn’t play dirty–she joined this show to inspire sick people, and now she’s getting attacked for nothing.”
“Whoever’s behind this is heartless. Vivian isn’t even a real contestant and she still gets this treatment. Disgusting!”
“Voice of Heaven” was already trending, and Vivian’s terminal diagnosis brought massive engagement. Between the sympathy for Vivian, her inspirational messaging, and the complete lack of actual footage, most people took her side.
The whole thing had gone completely off the rails from Se7ven’s original point. He’d never even mentioned Vivian at first–just thought it was weird that the broadcast didn’t match the live experience. Now suddenly he was Elena’s psycho superfan desperately trying to tear down Vivian.
As more people flooded the hashtag, it got completely hijacked. Se7ven was pissed. He wanted to scream that he didn’t even know who Elena was–she’d been wearing a damn mask! How did he become a stan overnight?
And he actually liked Vivian! He never wanted to attack her!
“Hell no. I’m not taking this lying down!”
“They want proof? Fine. There were hundreds of people there–someone had record something!”
Se7ven was a doer by nature, and he’d networked with people at the venue. He was getting evidence and shoving it down these people’s throats.
He started calling friends who’d been there, carefully feeling them out about the performances.
Response: “Yeah, ‘Yesterday Once More‘ was incredible live, but these online clips are garbage. Doesn’t make sense.”
Confirming they were on his side, Se7ven explained the online shitshow.
“Rain, you know me–I can’t let this slide. I told the truth and got branded a delusional fan. Fuck that.”
“Rain, you hooked me up with the ticket. I know you’ve got connections.”
“Even if there’s no official footage, what about group chats or whatever? Son hing.”

Rain finally pulled him into a private chat.
Rain warned: “This is my ticket scalping group–all kinds of sketchy people in here. Don’t cause drama or get my group nuked, or I’ll kick your ass.”
“Got it, thanks.” Se7ven started plotting his next move.
In the Bentley, Vivian looked genuinely confused by Nathan’s question.
“I don’t get it.” She frowned.
Nathan just stared at her, his silence more intimidating than
any
words.
Vivian looked down, processing. “I’m not sure what you’re asking. Yeah, I talked to her.”
She met his eyes, looking vulnerable. “I heard she’d just lost a baby and was still hurt, so I was worried. I went to see if she needed help.”
Vivian searched Nathan’s face anxiously. “Did she take it the wrong way?”
She seemed to be mentally replaying their conversation. “I brought up her injuries and the miscarriage… Nathan, does she think I was gossiping about her losing the baby?”
“God, that wasn’t what I meant at all…” Vivian covered her face, looking mortified. “You’re the only person I told–I swear.”
Nathan studied every micro–expression. Her story was bulletproof. She looked genuinely upset and immediately grabbed her phone to text Elena an apology.
Maybe it really was just a misunderstanding?
“It’s fine,” he said. “Just asking.”
One was Vivian, who he felt guilty about. The other was Louie’s kept woman. Easy choice–no point digging deeper.
The car glided smoothly through the rain–soaked city. The downpour made everything feel thick and oppressive.
After a while, Vivian spoke quietly. “Nathan, did you think I did okay today?”
Good, but not as good as Elena. The thought hit him immediately.
He didn’t say that, though. Just: “Yeah.”
Vivian smiled at his response, then her eyes got misty. “Having your approval. I could die happy.”
Nathan’s jaw tightened. He exhaled slowly. “Don’t talk like that. You’re amazing, Vivian.”
Vivian squeezed his hand without saying anything, just smiling.
They reached Vivian’s flower shop soon after. Nathan walked her inside, then returned to the car.
“Boss, where to now?” Eddie asked.
Nathan watched Vivian bustling around her shop, his finger drumming against his leg. After thinking: “Text them. I want Yondu Luke brought in.”
“On it.” Eddie fired off the message immediately.
The car pulled away toward Harrison Group headquarters. Suddenly Eddie faked out: “Boss, we’ve got a massive probler–Yondu Luke is gone!”
Nathan’s expression hardened. “Since when?”
Eddie looked terrified: “Just got word. Ite vanished a month ago, but the team covered it up. We only found out when they couldn’t produce him!
