Ryan let out a cold laugh. “I doubt it. Before I showed up, you two were probably getting hot and heavy, huh?”
As he spoke, his eyes flicked to Cassandra’s neck and collarbone.
At the same time, Cassandra tugged at her collar. Earlier at the hotel, Cameron had gotten too rough and left several marks on her neck. Her skin had always been sensitive, and even slight pressure left very obvious marks.
Ryan’s gaze sharpened. “Ms. Blake, I don’t have time to play this push–and–pull game with you. If you keep being inconsistent and wishy–washy, you’d better find yourself a new divorce attorney.”
She sighed. “You know I have no one else to turn to right now.
Once Cameron’s name was mentioned, no lawyer would dare help her divorce him–especially if it was behind his back and using the power of attorney to file it secretly.
Like Kevin had said before, if she divorced him, she would be free, but Cameron’s wrath would
turn on the lawyer.
Only someone like Ryan, his longtime sworn friend, was safe from real harm
“In that case, keep yourself in check. Both your body and your heart,” Ryan said coldly.

Later, Cassandra took a cab back to the hotel. She went straight to Daisy’s suite.

Inside, the black–suited bodyguards were still there. Daisy was fully awake and standing on a table, furiously cursing.
“Daisy.”

Daisy jumped down from the table the second she saw her. “You came?”

She desperately shot Cassandra a look and lowered her voice. “Cameron came to find you. He brought a whole bunch of people. You need to run. Go back to that safe place. I’ll cover for you.
Then, like a mother hen, she spread her arms wide to shield Cassandra.
Cassandra grabbed her hand. “It’s fine. I already met him.”
“He found you? Damn it, that bastard! How did he find you?”
It seemed that Daisy’s memory was still stuck on that phone call. She had no idea what Cameron had done to her or that Cassandra had already been here once.
Sally was there too. Her eyes kept darting around not daring to look at Daisy. Sally was a good assistant. She had protected Daisy well and hadn told her what had really happened.
Cassandra finally felt a bit relieved. “Do you feel okay?”
“I have a headache, but I’m fine now. Cameron is a real piece of trash, drugging me like that! A renowned CEO like him stooped so low to these shady thug tactics.”
After seeing that Daisy was truly okay, Cassandra finally felt at ease. She glanced at the row of black–suited bodyguards lined up in the living room and asked,

The one in charge said, “Yes, Mrs. Dorsey. Mr. Dorsey went back to Hannover for some urgent matters, but he left strict orders that while he’s gone, you’re not to leave our sight. Sorry
about that.”
“Alright.” Cassandra didn’t argue. “I’m going back to my room to sleep. Are you coming too?”
Daisy quickly tugged at her arm. “Just stay here and sleep with me.”
“If the paparazzi snap a shot of all these men in your room, they’ll start some scandalous rumors. You know how they love that crap.”
Daisy cursed under her breath.
Then, Cassandra signaled to the bodyguards. “Let’s go.”
She returned to her own suite and went straight to the bedroom, throwing herself onto the
bed.
Most of the bodyguards knew of Cameron’s insane jealousy and didn’t dare get too close. But they clearly had orders. Some went to the balcony, some to the guest room, and some to the kitchen. The rest stayed in the living room, all silently staring at her bedroom door.
They sealed every possible escape route, making sure she couldn’t run.

Suddenly, her phone rang. Cassandra grabbed it.
It turned out to be a call from Simon.
“Your son is already gone home. Why are you calling me?”

Simon answered, “Cassandra, you took that 100 million dollars with ease. It must have felt good, huh?”
Cassandra laughed coldly. “You should convince your son to take me to sign the papers. I won’t waste a single second.”
“I’m right next door. Come over and sign something.”
