The two people in the room were startled.
After a moment of shock, Isabella threw herself into his arms with red eyes. “Ethan, you’re finally here. Just now Sophia called some men to ruin my reputation. If my mom hadn’t come quickly and found people to stop them, I, I really wouldn’t
be able to live!”
Tears soaked his shirt, and her thin body trembled constantly, as if she was terrified.
But Ethan only felt it was ridiculous.
He had been completely fooled by such a woman with terrible acting skills!
He said, “Really? You’re sure it was people Sophia sent?”
Isabella’s chin hurt from his grip. Meeting the man’s dark eyes, her sixth sense told her something was wrong.
But now that she’d come this far, she couldn’t easily back down.
“Don’t you believe me?” Her eyelashes fluttered and tears fell. “Why would I lie about something like this? They personally
said…”
Before she could finish, Ethan grabbed her throat, his arm muscles bulging. “Even now you want to slander Sophia! Who gave you the nerve to deceive me?!”
Isabella’s face turned red as she desperately pushed at his hand, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t break free. “No… it really was Sophia… I didn’t… believe me…”
Her voice was broken, her vision started going black, and her body began convulsing from lack of oxygen.
Seeing this, Elizabeth could no longer care about anything else and frantically tried to pry his hands away to save her daughter. “Let go of Isabella! Ethan, let go! Help! Murder!”
But Ethan was already consumed by rage.
No matter how hard Elizabeth tried, she couldn’t move the hands around her daughter’s neck.
Just as Isabella was about to suffocate, rolling her eyes back, Ethan finally released his grip.
She fell to the ground, coughing violently, her face blue, blood seeping from her abdominal wound due to the violent
movement.
Elizabeth fearfully shielded her daughter behind her.
Ethan’s cold gaze fell on the tearful Isabella. “Isabella, you drove Sophia away. Since you like to act, why don’t you
experience everything she suffered?”
He summoned several bodyguards waiting at the door. “Break her hands and feet, soak her in ice water overnight, then throw her in the freezer. Watch her-don’t let her die. She hasn’t finished paying her debt.”
Isabella’s breathing stopped. For a moment, she thought she’d heard wrong.

She couldn’t understand why the man who had been intimate with her just days ago would use such cruel methods
against her.
Even if she had deceived him, they had slept together so many times-she didn’t believe Ethan had no feelings for her.
Isabella grabbed his pants leg, her eyes red, putting on her most pitiful act. “Ethan, even though I lied to you, I really love you. You like me too, don’t you? Since Sophia is gone now, I can take her place and stay by your side. I’ll forget the past-
let’s start over, okay…”
Before she could finish, Ethan lifted his foot and stepped hard on her fingers, grinding them.
Watching Isabella’s pained expression, he sneered coldly. “Like you? Isabella, look at yourself. You’re not worth even one
strand of Sophia’s hair!”
He turned to the bodyguards. “What are you waiting for! Do it!”
The bodyguards swung steel pipes at Isabella’s calves, causing her body to convulse as she let out a piercing scream, cold sweat instantly soaking her back.
Elizabeth screamed and tried to rush over but was blocked by the bodyguards, then fell to her knees before Ethan with red, swollen eyes, pleading tearfully. “Mr. Miller, please spare my daughter! She’s young and didn’t know better. Please forgive her this once. I, I’ll apologize to Sophia. She’s so kind, she’ll surely forgive Isabella!”
Seeing Elizabeth desperately protecting her daughter, Ethan felt no sympathy-only deeper hatred.
Even though Isabella was so vicious, Elizabeth still protected her.
But Sophia only had him left!
Yet they had dared to deceive him, making him help someone who had bullied her to hurt her again and again.
How sad and desperate Sophia must have been when she learned the truth!
Ethan’s eyes were ice-cold. “Want me to spare Isabella? Fine. As long as you’re willing to take ten times the punishment in
her place, I’ll let her go.”
