ER Heiress 1

ER Heiress 1

 1

I accidentally injured my arm while conducting a classified experiment and had to rush to the

emergency room.

But just as I arrived, a woman cut in line right in front of me.

I endured the pain and told her to wait in line.

She then struck my wound forcefully and roared: “Wait in line?! I’m the heiress of the Hawke family! I never wait in line!”

‘Not just an emergency room – if I wanted to, I could have everyone in this entire hospital fired!”

‘Get lost! Or when my brother comes, your other arm will be broken too!”

laughed in disbelief.

The Hawke family… wasn’t that the family my parents had arranged for me to marry into just days igo?

turned and called my fiancé James Hawke, “Your sister wants you to come break my other arm. Do you dare?”

ames on the other end was stunned for a moment, then his tone turned ice cold: “What’s wrong with

You?”

could hardly believe what I was hearing.

From what my parents had told me, James was a talented and well-mannered gentleman.

I couldn’t help but ask back: “Is this how you treat your fiancée?”

He let out a cold laugh – then hung up directly.

Alice, hearing this, snatched the phone from my hand and smashed it on the floor.

“So you’re that shameless woman who wants to marry my brother?”

“Really? With a face like that! My poor brother!”

Chapter 1

“And now you want to call my brother to cry to him – you really think you’re that important.”

My face flushed red with anger.

Wasn’t this marriage arrangement proposed by the Hawke family?

When did I become the clingy girl begging to marry into their family?

I bent down to pick up my phone, clutching my still-bleeding arm, and said coldly: “So what if you’re from the Hawke family? Does being a Hawke give you the right to cut in line and disrupt public

order?”

Alice covered her mouth in mock surprise: “Oh no, what should I do? In New York, the Hawke family can indeed play by our own rules.”

‘Let me guess, this is your first time in the big city? You smell like small town.”

‘laying by their own rules in New York?

‘ve worked at the National Research Institute for ten years – even the highest-ranking officials

vouldn’t dare say such things.

The Hawke couple must have an inflated sense of self.

didn’t want to argue and walked forward with my medical form: “Hospitals are for saving lives, Lot showing off privilege. If you want special treatment, go home!”

But before I could take two steps, Alice viciously grabbed my hair and yanked me back: “This

ospital? It belongs to the Hawke family. I can use all the damn privilege I want!”

On my turf, how dare you get in line before me!”

The hospital belongs to the Hawke family?

How bold of her.

The truth is, this hospital exists because my parents made substantial donations. The Hawkes only invested in one project – now they’re claiming the entire place?

Even if it were theirs, that doesn’t give her the right to bully civilians.

I shook her off forcefully: “Can’t you read the screen? I’m next. Who exactly is cutting in line?!”

Chapter 1

I thought the bystanders would help – but instead, they just stared at me and whispered:

“Everyone knows James absolutely dotes on Alice. Fighting with her? So foolish.”

“Right, she actually told Alice to wait in line? I thought I heard wrong!”

One woman even tried to reason with me: “Your little injury isn’t life-threatening. Let Alice go first,

it’ll be quick.”

‘Exactly, if you insist on this and James shows up… you might not walk out of here in one piece.”

couldn’t believe it – I’d been stuck in the classified research institute and didn’t know that in a hospital in downtown New York, people were still bowing to such privilege?

clenched my fists.

Seeing I wouldn’t move, Alice grabbed my wound and dug her nails in hard: “Did you hear that! Get ost right now!”

Alice’s grip on my wound made me nearly faint from pain.

quickly pulled my hand away: “If anything happens to this arm, my superiors will ensure you go to

›rison.”

Alice didn’t know – I’m a Level 1 researcher at the National Security Laboratory. All classified experiments must be conducted by me.

f my arm were ruined, the losses would be catastrophic.

3ut when Alice heard this, not only did she not let go, she mocked: “Prison?!”

‘In New York! The Hawke family IS the law.”

With that, she waved her hand, and a group of bodyguards burst through the door.

They began roughly driving away patients waiting in the corridor: “What are you looking at!”

“This hospital has been reserved by Miss Alice today! Need treatment, go elsewhere!”

As they approached me, I shouted angrily toward the emergency room lobby: “Are the hospital security just decorations?! Get these thugs out of here!”

Chapter 1

Hearing my words, the medical staff came over – but their expressions were full of hesitation.

“Alice just has menstrual cramps – she comes every month, treatment is quick, just let it go…”

Comes every month?

So she uses privilege to cut in line every time?

The more they indulged her, the more I knew I couldn’t back down.

I took out my phone and dialed 911: “If the hospital won’t stop you, let’s see if the police will.”

As soon as I finished speaking, an angry roar came from the entrance: “Enough! If you dare bully her again, you’re dead!”
