Chapter 4
Several nurses nervously glanced at each other and were about to step forward when James’s cold voice rang out: “Anyone who dares help her is opposing the Hawke family!”
“You don’t need me to remind you of the consequences of helping her!”
James wrapped his arms around Alice and commanded the hall: “I want every damn doctor and nurse in this hospital here – now! Give Alice a comprehensive
examination!”
“I won’t allow Alice to feel the slightest discomfort!”
Alice looked at me smugly: “Face reality, dear – you might be dying on the floor, but no one will care!”
Just as Alice was about to enter the emergency room, she suddenly stopped and grinned wickedly: “Oh, right – James, didn’t you say you wanted to see me in uniform?”
“I forgot to tell you, my dream has always been to become a doctor.”
Then Alice pointed at me lying on the ground: “What do you say we let me practice on her?”
All the blood in my body seemed to freeze instantly.
she hadn’t even received medical training – yet she wanted to use my hand as practice?
ames touched Alice’s hair with delight: “Alice can do whatever she wants!”
Before I could react, James waved over several bodyguards who pinned me down hard.
struggled desperately, but blood loss had left me with no strength.
ames looked down at me with a cold smile: “Charlotte, you should feel honored that Alice wants to practice on you.”
oon, Alice returned – wearing a tight, revealing nurse’s uniform.
ames stared at her with infatuation.
lice randomly selected several needles from the medical cart’s tray and waved them in front of me: “Just like sewing, right?”
hose needles still had blood stains from other patients and were clearly not sterilized.
lice pretended to pout coquettishly: “James, but I’m so clumsy… what if I mess up and ruin her hand?”
ames waved dismissively. “If she ends up disabled, we’ll give her a million dollars.”
A million?!” I couldn’t help but shout: “Do you know how much my hand is worth?!”
As soon as I finished speaking, James slapped me hard across the face: “Charlotte, you’re finally showing your true colors!”
You’re like everyone else approaching me just for my money.”
A million isn’t enough? Then two million!”
‘In New York, there’s nothing I can’t afford!”
Alice looked triumphant: “Tie her up and gag her.”
“If she screams and scares me, I might develop psychological trauma.”
Soon, I was tightly bound to the emergency bed, completely unable to break free.
Alice walked up to me, her face twisted with sadistic joy.
She pressed down on my injured arm, holding that dirty needle, and suddenly stabbed it into the edge of my wound.
The intense pain made me bang my head desperately against the bed frame. Alice couldn’t help but laugh mockingly. “Small town girl’s skin is too tough, took
me a lot of effort.”
I struggled to spit out the cloth in my mouth: “My wound is already infected! This is deliberate assault!”
Alice rolled her eyes and forcefully stabbed the needle in again: “The Hawke family princess is personally suturing you.”
“Instead of being grateful, you’re cursing me. How excessive!”
The pain blurred my vision and I nearly passed out.
James looked impatient: “Enough, stop pretending. It’s just a few stitches. Take the two million we’re giving you – it’s enough for a lifetime!”
Seeing Alice about to continue, I used all my strength to shout: “James! If you touch me again your entire damn family is finished!”
As soon as I finished speaking, James didn’t even blink. He grabbed the cloth and stuffed it back in my mouth: “Ha!”
“In New York, there’s nothing the Hawke family doesn’t dare do!”
“And I don’t care if God himself appears – Alice must get her revenge tonight.”
The next second, a convoy of black armored SUVs pulled up outside the hospital entrance, their engines making the hospital’s glass doors tremble.
A group of federal tactical agents in black uniforms stormed into the hospital, instantly surrounding James and Alice.
The Hawke family talks so arrogantly!”
