Chapter 7
Four Hours Later, Lily arrived in a fluster, dragging Jason along with her.
Seeing the two of us, Jason froze for a moment, taken aback by how alike we looked. But Lily didn’t care about his suspicions; she hurriedly brushed him off and pulled me aside.
“What did you mean about your brother–in–law finding something?” she demanded.
Scratching my head, I looked straight at Lily and said,
“Isn’t it the surprise he prepared? Something the size of a movie ticket. He’s been grinning about it ever since he found it. Didn’t he share it with you?”
Lily’s face turned visibly pale, her expression growing increasingly grim.
Adding fuel to the fire, I continued,
“I also overheard him ask Lila to deliver some documents to you, but I didn’t catch what they were about.”
Not paying attention to my words, Lily frantically pulled out her phone and called Lila.
Moments later, Lila sent her a photo–a signed divorce agreement from Brian Parker.
‘I don’t know what’s gotten into Brian. He suddenly decided he wants a divorce.”
Before Lila could finish speaking, Lily hung up the phone, her teeth clenched in fury.
That bastard! He’s planning to keep it all for himself? Sister, go home for now. I’m heading to the company.”
Suppressing my laughter, I waved her off as she climbed into a cab.
leisurely got into Lila’s car and followed Lily to the company.
As soon as Lily stepped into the building, I called Brian.
Brother–in–law, I just came back from the airport and saw my sister with some guy named Jason. Who is he? He ooks like he’s in his forties. Is he the one who caused your divorce?”
At the mention of “Jason,” Brian’s voice immediately became incoherent with rage.
Brian had always known about Jason’s inappropriate advances toward me.
‘What? That old man?” he sputtered.
I didn’t have to wait long before I heard Lily’s voice on the other end of Brian’s phone.
“Brian Parker, you shameless scumbag!”
Brian shot back without hesitation.
“And you have the nerve to show up here?”
Beep. Beep. Beep.
The call was cut off.
I smiled faintly.
“Brian Parker, Lily Eleanor–it’s time for us to settle this once and for all.”
Just as I reached the company entrance, I heard the loud voices of Brian Parker and Lily Eleanor arguing.
“Hand over the money, you scumbag! I don’t have time to mess around with you!”
Lily was gripping Brian’s ear tightly, pulling hard enough to make him wince.
Nearby colleagues stared at the scene, utterly confused.
“What are they talking about? A lottery ticket? Who has it?”
“Wait, who asked for the divorce?”
“Did Brian just say Caroline went on a business trip with Jason? Isn’t he their competitor? And Caroline–into someone like Jason? Really?”
Feigning surprise, I raised my voice,
“Sister, Brother–in–law, what are you doing?”
Everyone turned to look at me in shock.
“Wait, there’s another Caroline? Which one is which?”
Ignoring my arrival, Brian continued shouting at Lily,
“How many times have I told you to stay away from that creep Jason? And now you’re going on a business trip with him?”
Lily, consumed by anger, snapped back,
“I’m not your wife! Who are you to control me? Don’t forget, I’m just Lily Eleanor. Your wife, Caroline, is standing right over there!”

Her words caused a commotion among the crowd of onlookers, who now turned their shocked gazes toward me.
“You’re Caroline? Then who is she?”
I calmly pulled out a chair, sat down, and folded my arms across my chest.
“She’s my twin sister, Lily Eleanor.”
Brian and Lily, who had been at each other’s throats just moments ago, now turned to look at me in unison. It was a
if they had just pieced everything together.
“You’ve regained your memory?” they both blurted out:
“Regained my memory?” I chuckled coldly. “I never lost it in the first place.”
Brian stumbled back a few steps in disbelief, while Lily slumped to the ground in defeat.
Under their stunned gazes, I pulled out the unsigned divorce agreement and, right in front of them, signed my name: Caroline Eleanor.
“From this moment on, our divorce is official,” I declared.
Brian reached out desperately, trying to grab the hem of my clothing.
“I was just seduced by Lily! My heart has always been with you. You know that!”
“You only love someone who can manage your household and still give you a sense of novelty. You’ve just realized that Lily will never prioritize you the way I did,” I said, my voice cold as I forcefully pushed him away.
