When he saw the name on the screen, he instinctively looked over at Natalie before answering. “What’s

On the other end of the call, Sienna said anxiously, “Jason, Mossey is flying back to Falence tonight. He agreed
to meet me before his flight. Can you come with me?”
“Didn’t he just arrive in Grendale today?” Jason asked. “He’s leaving tonight?”
Sienna sounded close to tears. “I don’t know why, either, but Mossey extended an invitation to meet me. He
must be considering taking me on as his apprentice. Jason, I don’t want to miss this chance.
Jason was torn. He glanced over at Natalie, unable to say what he was thinking

After hanging up, Jason shed all hesitation and said plainly, “Natalie, something urgent came up. I have to go. You go on ahead. I’ll join you when I’m done.”
Natalie knew that the call was from Sienna. She also knew that Sienna was going to meet Mossey
Even Jason’s choice had played out exactly as she had expected.
Whenever it came down to choosing between her and Sienna, Jason always chose the latter.
