Xavier was satisfied by Natalie’s reaction. He sneered and said, Get it yourself if you think you’re such a bre deal. The nerve of you, trying to insult me when you’re blind as a bat! What gave you the balls to do that

Natalie was already weighed down by frustration, so his action broke her. Grievance filled her heart, and she felt

her nose prickle

She couldn’t understand why these people kept bullying her. Why did they take pleasure in insulting and humiliating her? What had she done wrong? She was about to lose her mind from all this agony

Suddenly, Natalie turned in Xavier’s direction and lunged at him. She grabbed his collar and shouted, Do! deserve to be bullied just because I’m a nanny’s daughter? Is my existence a mistake because my mother did something wrong? Do you think you have the right to walk all over me because I don’t fight back

I’m a human, Xavier! A living, breathing human! I’m capable of feeling, and I get upset, too! I don’t expect you guys to treat me well, but can’t you just leave me alone? That’s all I ask for can’t you even give me that?”

Xavier was stupefied by her outburst. He snapped to his senses after a while and said, LLook, let me go. I’ll pick the cane up for you, alright?”

Natalie calmed down upon hearing that

Thankfully, Xavier was a man of his word. He picked up the white cane from the green strip and threw it at

Natalie with a scowl. There. Happy now?”

He turned and got into the car after that. He didn’t immediately leave, though. He sat there and watched as

Natalie clutched the cane before getting into a cab a while later

For some reason, he followed her to her destination. It was only when he watched her enter a club that he

realized what he was doing

He furrowed his brows and punched the steering wheel. Then, he subconsciously glanced in the direction Natalie had gone

It was hard to believe she could still go about her day without kicking up a fuss despite Jason abandoning her on her birthday

Xavier was suddenly reminded of something that had happened when he and Natalie were still together. They’d

once agreed to catch a film together, but he’d forgotten about it after meeting some friends for drinks

Natalie had foolishly waited for fun throughout the night, and she’d acted like nothing had happened the following day She hadn’t even said anything harsh to him

That was one thing Natalie would always be better at than Sienna

Xavier’s expression darkened What had gotten into him? Why was he suddenly remembering Natalie’s good points? He must’ve lost his mind

He retracted his gaze and drove off

Unbeknownst to him, a black car had trailed him and parked in a dark corner The man in the car had an

unfathomable gaze as he stared in the direction Natalie had left

The person in the driver’s seat said carefully, Mr. Matfel, Ms Spencer has deregistered herself everywhere

She’s also bought a ticket for a flight out of Grendale that leaves tonight.”

Rowan’s face remained devoid of emotion, but his eyes gleamed icily. Was Natalie saying her goodbyes that night? If she was, he was already looking forward to the next time they met

Natalie headed upstairs, and the server only left her after leading her right to a private room. She stood there, not in a hurry to enter the room. The agitation she’d felt earlier had now calmed

Was Sienna that desperate to become Mossey’s last apprentice? It was too bad her wish wouldn’t come true

even with Jason paving the path for her

Natalie pulled out her phone and dialed a number

Meanwhile, Sienna sat in an upscale restaurant. The revolving table before her was laden with exquisite dishes

and there were people serving them as they ate

She was confident. After all, Mossey had already made it clear that he had high hopes for her. She was positive

she would become his last apprentice

Her smile remained in place until he got off the phone. Then, she watched as he stood up and said, My

apprentice won’t let me eat any more, Ms Spencer. Our game ends here.”
