“Morn, do you think Wings of Canvas will work with me? What if they turn me down? I can’t handle another rejection,”
Sienna said.
For the past half a year, she’d been embroiled in the scandal of being a homewrecker Everyone knew she’d gotten
involved with a married man despite knowing he bad a wife. Each time things started dying down, someone would bring
it up again. This had led to the destruction of her reputation.
Nothing had gone her way back in Dexia, so she’d finally taken Daphne’s advice to go abroad and try to make a name for
herself there.
Daphne said pacifyingly, “When you’re here, nothing else matters more than your skill. I’ve also asked around about
Wings of Canvas–it’s a renowned art gallery, and it only works with masters.
As long as you can sell your art here, the rumors in Dexia will automatically go away. You have to make the owner of
this gallery agree to exhibit your paintings here, Sienna.
Sienna nodded. She looked at the art on display and suddenly had a boost of confidence. She said disdainfully. “If even
trash like this can be exhibited here, I don’t see why mine can’t.”
Daphne flattered her, saying, “Your talent is in a whole other league from these nobodies.
Just then, a voice came from behind them, “Ms. Michelle Bronson started painting when she was three years old and
won a global award when she was five years old. For the past 30 years, she’s created countless masterpieces of immense
artistic value
“Yet to you two, she’s a nobody whose work is trash. I don’t know whether to say you’re ignorant or dumb.”
Sienna and Daphne turned around together to see a woman in a yellow dress that showed off her curves. Her hair cascaded over her shoulders, and she carried herself with grace Her face was covered by a veil, though.
Sienna’s expression darkened. It was clear she was pissed. “Who are you calling dumb?”
Natalie chuckled, the mockery in her gaze evident “I guess you’re truly dumb if you can’t even tell who I’m talking about. Here’s some advice–get out of here and go back to where you came from. Wings of Canvas won’t work with
someone like you
Sienna’s temper got the better of her. She’d always been arrogant, so how could she possibly endure such humi
She snapped, “Who the hell do you think you are? It’s not up to you to decide who Wings of Canvas works with!”
Her focus had always been on Dexia, but she’d still heard of Wings of Canvas. She knew the owner was a man au
eligible bachelor, in fact. The way she saw it, Natalie was a nobody who had nothing to do with the gallery
Natalie covered her mouth and laughed. She raised an eyebrow tauntingly and said. “You know. I think I do get to
decide, actually.”
Daphne snorted. “You? A piece of trash who doesn’t even dare to show her face when speaking to others? Stop embarrassing yourself and get lost, bitch! Save yourself the humiliation”
Natalie didn’t look like she was a rich woman visiting the gallery to purchase art, nor did she look like an agent. If so, it was clear she was there for the same reason they were she was an artist seeking a chance to work with the owner of
Wings of Canvas.
But judging from her behavior, she was probably just an artist unknown to everyone. She only had the nerve to provoke them because she wanted them to leave. That way, she’d have one less competitor Well, she was dreaming if she
thought her plan would work!
Daphne became even more scomful of Natalie after processing the situation.
Sienna crossed her arms and stepped forward with a scoff. “How dare you mock me, you ugly bitch! Show me your face so I can see how thick–skinned you are!”
In the next second, she lunged forward, reaching for Natalie’s veil. But before she could even touch it, someone grabbed
her wrist and slapped her hard.
She staggered backward from the force. She would’ve fallen to the floor if not for Daphne catching her
