Chapter 11
When Rachel was escorted into the study by the bodyguards, she still didn’t know what was going on.
She pouted, “Ryan, they hurt me.”
But when her eyes caught the security footage on the screen, her face turned pale, and tears instantly welled up.
“Ryan, I love you! Ever since I was 16 and first saw you. Sarah got everything, and I’m Jack’s daughter, too. Why should I get nothing?”
Ryan didn’t bother arguing with her anymore. His gaze fixed coldly on her swollen belly.
“That bastard needs to be aborted right away.”
Rachel was stunned, then lunged forward to grab Ryan’s pant leg.
When pleading failed, she broke down in crazed, tearful laughter.
“Ryan, weren’t you the one who froze her bank account? Aren’t you the one who married her just for show? You’re just a selfish jerk who wants it all. What deep love are you pretending to have?”
Ryan seemed stabbed by her words and roughly brushed her hand away.
“Ah!”
Rachel slammed into the coffee table hard, blood flowing down her thigh.
“Ryan, save our baby.”
But Ryan looked on coldly and turned away.

Chapter 11
Rachel had no choice but to call Jack, only to hear an even more
desperate reply. “Rachel, I just had Evelyn admitted to a psychiatric hospital.”
Jack’s voice was strangely cheerful.
“Go apologize to Sarah. I’m about to be part of the Durran family.”
By the time the police rushed into the guest room, Rachel was barely clinging to life.
Before her eyes rolled back, she whispered her final words faintly.
“It’s all about justice.”

Three months later, my daughter was born.
Frederick called a family meeting.
Everyone from the Durran family showed up in the conference room.
In front of everyone, Frederick signed the property transfer papers, handing over 50% of the family assets to me
The other 50% was set aside for our daughter, which he would hold until
she turned 18.
“From today on, I’m officially working for you two,” Frederick joked, his eyes full of affection.
Everyone was a little surprised, but they were accustomed to Frederick’s. way of having the final word.
They all congratulated us.

Chapter 11
The LED screen played the latest news.
“Morgan Group Files for Bankruptcy, Former CEO Ryan Leaves Confession Note, Suspected Suicide Over Affair”
“Jack Deported Over Financial Crimes, Returned to Australia This Morning”
Lucas hurried in, holding a letter.
“Mrs. Durran, this is Ryan’s suicide note. Would you like to see it?”
The room fell silent. All eyes turned to me.
Frederick frowned but didn’t stop me.
He just quietly squeezed my hand, silently supporting whatever I decided.
I shook my head gently, calm and steady.
“No, thank you.”
Lucas nodded and left silently.
Frederick turned off the TV, a mix of pride and tenderness in his eyes.
He kissed my forehead softly. “It’s all over now.”
I leaned against him, looking down at my daughter’s peaceful sleep, and smiled slightly.
“No, it’s just the beginning.”
I’m no longer a caged bird living on someone else’s terms.
I can be my daughter’s mom. I can be Mrs. Durran.
But more than anything, I’m the one in charge of my own life.
