The tightly shut windows and doors blocked out all sunlight, plunging the room into darkness. Eric had locked himself in his villa bedroom, the air crackling with an Alpha’s frustrated energy, almost tearing the room apart.
His phone kept vibrating, the shrill ringtone piercing the silence. He didn’t even want to look at it, just let it flash its faint light in the dark.
But whoever was calling seemed determined to reach him. He didn’t answer, so they kept calling, again and again.
After a long standoff, Eric finally gave in.
He irritably picked up his phone. Seeing “Gianna” displayed on the screen, a wave of annoyance washed over him. Without a moment’s hesitation, he hung up and blocked the contact.
The room finally returned to silence. He let out a long breath.
But not long after, an unknown number called again.
Eric didn’t even need to guess; he knew it had to be Gianna trying to reach him some other way.
He hung up and blocked it without a second thought, the action almost a reflex.
He lay on the large bed, staring blankly at the ceiling, Sera’s image flashing constantly in his mind.
–
Her eyes, always looking at him so carefully, her gentle scent like fresh grass, the way she trembled in his arms yet remained strong – it all replayed before him like a movie.
He’d never realized she had taken up such an important place in his heart.
However, just as he was lost in painful memories, the door was suddenly thrown open.
“Eric, what is this attitude?!”
Gianna stood in the doorway, her beautiful face flushed with anger. Her presence, right then, felt more unsettling than an Alpha’s rage.
She had willingly agreed to the alliance with the Dark Moon pack. The union of two great packs, becoming the Luna of Dark Moon, was almost the best thing that could happen to her.
Eric was handsome, powerful, and their union was a good match. When they first met, he had been polite enough, showing the restraint and good manners expected of a high–ranking Alpha.
