After the marriage was arranged, the
Sterling’s quickly sent a dowry of twenty
million dollars and a bunch of car and house
deeds with great sincerity.
Like last time, Mom and Dad didn’t keep
these things. Instead, they took 10% of the shares of the Lin family company as a dowry,
fearing that Wendy would be looked down
upon after entering the Sterling’s house.
