Chapter 55
Jane had seen Natalie just two days earlier. The moment she spotted Natalie, her suspicions had already been raised. She just hadn’t had the chance to confirm them.
Now, the whole Internet was talking about Natalie. There was no why Jane didn’t know exactly who she was.
No wonder Jason had been avoiding her and ignoring her calls. Heust’ve known Natalle was back the whole time, which meant Jane, the stand–in, was no longer necessary
Jane stared straight at Natalie, her eyes burning with jealousy.
If Natalie was already out of his life, why did she have to come waling back in?
Jane refused to accept it. She hated Natalie with every fiber of her being.
Just then, Billy Nyman, a drunk, sidled up to Jane, his sleazy gaze crawling over her with vulgar interest. “Hey, gorgeous, how about I buy you a drink?”
Jane was already in a rotten mood. The last thing she needed was some creep hitting on her. She was about to tell him to get lost when suddenly, an idea hit her.
In an instant, her expression softened into something sweet and innocent. “My boyfriend’s in the restroom. He’ll be back any second. But my sister’s single. And let’s just say she’s not picky, as long as you’ve got cash.”
Understanding dawned on Billy’s face. He followed Jane’s gesture and turned to look.
Natalie glanced around, but there was no sign of Bella or Benjamin. Where had they gone? It had already been ten minutes.
She pulled out her phone to call Bella, but before she could dial, Billy dropped into the seat beside her, reeking of alcohol..
He stared at her shamelessly, not even pretending to be subtle. “100 bucks if you keep me company tonight.”
The woman from before might have resembled Natalie, but there was no comparison when it came to their presence. Just being
this close to Natalie set Billy on fire with desire.
He believed tonight was his lucky night.
Natalie frowned, her voice cold. “You’ve got the wrong person.”
Billy scowled. “What? Not enough? Fine. I’ll make it 200 bucks. That’s my final offer.”
As he spoke, he reached out to grope Natalie’s waist.
Suddenly, a bloodcurdling scream tore through the air. “That hurts! Let go! You’re going to break it! It’s going to snap!”
Natalie twisted Billy’s wrist into a painful knot before slamming his face into the glass table. “Hurts now, doesn’t it? Was I speaking another language before?”
Billy whimpered but managed to spat back, “Aren’t you just some whore? Your little sister told me you’d open your legs if I just paid up.”
He let out a sharp yelp before gasping, “Ease up! Ease up!”
Younger sister?
Natalie’s eyes went cold. “Who told you that?”
“How should I know? I don’t even know her,” Billy wheezed.
“What did she look like?”

Billy’s wrist was on the verge of snapping. He wasn’t about to try anything clever now. His eyes flicked toward Jane. “She looks just like you. Over by the bar.”
Natalie’s head snapped around just in time to see a panicked figure bolting away. Without a second thought, she let Billy drop like trash and charged after Jane.
The nightclub was in full swing, packed to the brim with the prime time crowd.
By the time Natalie rushed outside, Jane was already gone. She stood at the entrance, scanning around. Whoever she’d been chasing had slipped away.
Natalie’s expression turned to ice as she drew a slow breath.
Billy had said the woman looked like her, and that was all the confirmation she needed. Only one person both resembled her and had a motive to pull something like this.
She was just turning to go back inside when a man’s voice cut through the noise behind her.
“Natalie!”
She spun on instinct, then went completely still the moment she saw him.
