Chapter 12

“What?”

Maya was stunned.

Meanwhile, Nevaeh had already headed upstairs.

Maya quickly followed, only to see Nevaeh pack up her few pieces of clothes into her bag. Then Nevaeh was about to go downstairs.

Seeing this, Maya immediately walked over to grab her sleeve and said while pouting, “Come on, Nevaeh. Don’t leave. I’ll be more careful, OK? This won’t happen again. I promise-no more guys at home, alright? Stay with me…”

Shaking her head, Nevaeh took Maya’s hand.

“I’m already grateful that you let me stay with you these past few days. I’ll treat you to a meal someday.”

Maya knew Nevaeh well enough to know no one could sway her after she made up her mind.

She could only sigh as she watched Nevaeh leave.

Nevaeh quickly found a hotel and checked in.

She went to the thirteenth floor and was about to enter her room. Just then, out of the corner of her eye, she happened to see someone stumble toward a room at the end of the hallway.

The man had silver hair.

It was Erasmo.

Nevaeh didn’t want to meddle at first.

As she was about to swipe the keycard, her phone in her pocket suddenly buzzed non-stop.

It was an unknown number.

She rejected the call.

Just then, Erasmo at the end of the hallway roared in a low, cold voice, “Answer the phone, Nevaeh!”

Nevaeh was stunned.

It was Erasmo?

She could only walk over to him.

Crouching by the room door, he seemed like a lost puppy.

He continued to dial her number, not noticing her at all.

She asked when he was about to impatiently toss his phone away, “What’s up?”

Hearing her voice, he jerked up his head at once and stood up with difficulty.

“Take me to leave. I’ll pay you.”

“Why would I…”

He collapsed without giving her a chance to finish.

Luckily, she reacted quickly and supported him so that he wouldn’t slump to the floor.

The great feeling of his warm, perfect abs made her blush.

“Go. Don’t let them see us…”

It turned out he wasn’t completely unconscious. He was just exhausted.

Urged by him, Nevaeh helped him into her room, not daring to waste a second.

The moment the room door closed, the elevator doors opened with a ding.

“Are you sure Erasmo is in the room at the end of the hallway?”

“Of course. He’s doomed this time.

“He’s already drunk the spiked wine. After our chick approaches him and snaps pictures of them sleeping toge we’ll have him eating out of our hands.”

“You’re so smart, boss!”

Nevaeh stood behind the door, and her heart raced.

Recalling the wedging method she had learned online, she placed a glass on the doorknob and then dimmed the ligh to their lowest.

In such a way, those men wouldn’t see anything even if they peeked.

Once in the room, Erasmo loosened his tie, took off his jacket, and took out his phone to call his subordinate.

After dealing with everything, he turned into the bathroom without glancing at Nevaeh.

She felt a bit speechless as she heard the sound of running water.

Given Erasmo’s current state, he was stuck in this room. She could only phone the front desk to book another room.

After all, Erasmo was her “sugar daddy” to some extent, and crossing him in any way wouldn’t be wise.

Unfortunately, the receptionist told her the only available room had just been booked.

Before she could answer, she heard the two men’s voices on the other end of the line.
