Chapter 22
“Don’t worry, Mr. Fenton. I always behave. Oh, just so you know, I saw someone entering the venue right after me. Maybe Madam Fenton sent them here.”
He had already shaken his own tail. Since the others had seen how affectionate he and Nevaeh were, the rest would play out naturally.
“I won’t stick with you. Buy whatever you want. The manager knows who you are.”
Though his voice was as icy as ever, his words warmed her heart.
“Mr. Fenton, you’re a good person indeed.” She was very grateful for his generosity.
“Really?” Being praised like this for the first time, Erasmo curved his lips in a good mood.
“Of course. Now you can attend to your business. I’ll take a look around,” she smiled before browsing the jewelry dis- plays.
Gazing at her back, Erasmo squinted slightly. “Anson, follow her.”
Noticing that Erasmo’s gaze was fixed on Nevaeh this entire time, Anson nodded, feeling a bit surprised.
He thought, “Looks like Mr. Fenton has truly fallen for her.”
Noticing Anson’s meaningful gaze, Erasmo rubbed the bridge of his nose. “Don’t let her get into any trouble.”
Sensing that Erasmo was brushing him off, Anson was even more convinced that Erasmo had feelings for Nevaeh.
He quickly stepped forward to catch up with Nevaeh, following her at a distance as she browsed with no intention of disturbing her.
Nevaeh was too busy admiring the jewelry to even notice him.
Now that she had Erasmo’s permission, she bought whatever she wanted, not caring about the price at all. Soon enough, the way she threw money around attracted the attention of several young male celebrities.
“Hello, Ma’am. Do you need a shopping guide?”
Suddenly, a tall, slender man showed up in front of Nevaeh out of the blue. Caught off guard, she almost bumped into
his chest.
“Do I know you?” Puzzled, she glanced at him, not knowing why he suddenly came forward to strike up a conversa-
tion.
“Not before, and not anymore. My name is Franklin Ewing,” Franklin smiled brightly, radiating charming youth.

“Not interested.” She stepped aside warily, having no intention of talking to him.

She thought, “Hot guys don’t show up without a reason. I bet there’s something going on! Is he after my money or my body?”
Noticing the guarded look on her face, Franklin was a bit embarrassed, his smile fading a little.
“Ms. Tomlinson, Mr. Fenton wanted me to remind you of your deal,” per Erasmo’s instructions, Anson stepped for- ward and said to Nevach, conveniently blocking Franklin’s line of sight on her.
Nevaeh was puzzled. Did she do anything wrong?
On second thought, perhaps Erasmo just wanted to remind her. So, she nodded readily. “Alright.”
When someone tried to stop her again, she decisively walked away.
She thought, “Those men all have an agenda. Besides, none of them are as generous as Erasmo. I gotta steer clear from them.”
“Ma’am, you’ve caught my attention for a while now. Fancy a drink together?”
Nevaeh frowned and was about to turn him down when she realized the person talking to her was the lead actor in the drama she had been watching these days.
“Logan?” she exclaimed in surprise.
Logan Cooper curved his lips at her tone. He rarely met pretty, rich women like her, and he’d love to drink with her.
“You know me?” he asked.
“I was watching the drama you were in yesterday. Can I have your autograph?” Nevaeh was so thrilled that she didn’t notice how close they were standing to each other.
