MARRIED BILLIONAIRE 9

MARRIED BILLIONAIRE 9

Chapter 9

When my mother was still alive, she constantly reminded me not to let my entire life revolve around Damien. She always urged me to go out and see the world.

But Damien was always busy.

I couldn’t bear to leave him, and I was worried about my mother.

So I stayed.

I devoted everything to becoming Damien’s wife, giving up my former dreams.

Now, Thorne still remembered my childhood wishes.

My dormant heart suddenly began to beat.

I took the initiative to hold Thorne’s hand, “Thank you.”

“Thank you for being someone I can depend on.”

Thorne gently brushed my hair with one hand.

“I promised you long ago. I’m sorry it took me so long to be by your side, letting you suffer so much.”

However, I didn’t expect that during Thorne’s and my honeymoon, Damien would track us and board the same flights.

Wherever we went, he would appear-each time carrying a bouquet of roses with the stamens deliberately cut off, bringing exquisite gifts, waiting for me outside hotels.

Every time Damien saw me, his eyes would turn red.

“Elara, I was wrong. I messed up. Can you come back to me?”

“I really missed you during this time when you weren’t by my side.”

“Elara, I swear I’ll never hurt you again. I’ve permanently driven Lana and Lila out of my life. Please come back to me. I can’t live without you!”

I sneered and walked up to Damien, whispering in his ear, “Do you know what my mother said to me before she died?”

“She told me she wouldn’t be my burden anymore. She wanted me to leave you and pursue my own happiness.”

“Damien, from the moment you fell in love with those twin mistresses, I stopped loving you.”

“I only stayed by your side for my mother, just so my mother could live well.”

“You killed my mother. You pushed me away with your own hands.”

“My room, our child, my dog-everything I cared about, you destroyed it all for Lana and Lila. And now you expect me to come back?”

Damien’s face went pale as he kept shaking his head, “No, I never thought I would harm Mom.”

My voice was hoarse with anger.

“Don’t you dare call her Mom!”

Then I rolled up my sleeves, revealing the hideous scars.

“If my mother knew I married a man who almost killed me, she would never forgive you.”

Damien didn’t dare look at my scars guiltily, backing away several steps, “I’m sorry. I arranged for bodyguards to go in and save you.”

“I didn’t know you would get hurt.”

I sneered, “Damien, ‘sorry’ doesn’t solve anything. You will pay for the harm you caused me.”

After that, Damien never dared approach me or speak to me again. He just silently followed behind Thorne and me every day.

Sometimes Thorne couldn’t bear it and would have his bodyguards teach him a lesson.

But Damien never resisted. He just stood there, letting the punches fall.

Then he would walk up to me, “Does this make you feel better, Elara?”

I never answered, pulling Thorne and turning away.

After the honeymoon ended, I began working as Marketing Director of the Black family’s global corporate group.

I had no other purpose-only one mission: to destroy Damien’s business empire.

Every project, every bid, every potential client of Damien’s-I stole them all.

In just three months, I stole dozens of projects from Damien.

Meanwhile, Damien was so entangled with Lana and Lila that he couldn’t focus on the company.

His company’s financial situation plummeted, debts piling up.

Finally, even his parents couldn’t sit idly by anymore.

They personally came to the Black family to find me.

Those who once sneered at me-now bowed before me.

“Elara, we were once family.”

“Damien… he made a mistake, a mistake many men make. But he really loves you. Can you forgive Damien and stop suppressing us?”
