Dump His Dying 7

Chapter 7

Victoria’s eyes welled with tears: “Even though Avery hates me and keeps trying to hurt me, I still wanted to see how she’s doing. Falling from such a high building-thank goodness she landed on the only safety net below. Maybe… she was afraid you’d make her answer for what she did to me, so she tried to… But still…”

She tilted her head innocently, “isn’t it strange how all the men who kidnapped me just disappeared? And she somehow ended up covered in injuries. It really breaks your heart.”

Victoria’s implication couldn’t have been more obvious.

Reed’s expression instantly darkened.

Looking at Avery, the concern in his eyes completely vanished.

“Avery Walsh, are you afraid of being held accountable, so you let those men go? Then deliberately injured yourself and fell onto that safety net-just like before, trying to get my attention? Otherwise, how could all these coincidences happen?”

Avery couldn’t remember what Victoria and Reed were talking about.

But Reed would doubt her just from Victoria’s few words?

He once said that no matter what happened, he would always stand by her side, trusting her unconditionally.

Now he believed she’d deliberately injured herself just to get his attention?

Avery thought she would feel heartbroken, but strangely, she didn’t. She only felt how absurd and ridiculous it all was.

Just then, Victoria suddenly pointed at the collar of Avery’s hospital gown and gasped:

“Oh my! What’s that?”

Reed followed her gaze, his pupils contracting sharply.

“Avery Walsh!”

Reed’s face turned dark as thunder.

“Who was it?”

Avery looked down at the reddish-purple marks on her chest-clearly kiss marks. But she couldn’t remember what had happened or who had left them. She only felt utterly disgusted.

Reed grabbed Avery’s bandaged hand, making her wince in pain.

“I’m asking you-who was that man?!”

Avery yanked her hand away again.

“Reed Bennett, we’re already divorced.”

“You can marry Victoria, and my affairs are none of your business.”

Reed laughed bitterly. “Fine, FINE! Avery Walsh, don’t say I didn’t warn you!”

With that, he pulled Victoria out, slamming the door behind them.

Reed summoned his assistant, handing him a stack of photos to release publicly.

When the assistant saw the photos, his hand trembled, nearly dropping them in shock-

Chapter 7

These were Avery’s INTIMATE PHOTOS!

“Sir, are you sure you want to do this? Once this happens… even when you ‘regain your memory,’ Mrs. Bennett might never forgive…”

“She won’t,” Reed interrupted. “She’s targeting Victoria now because she loves me too much. Besides, this is something I did while ‘having amnesia,’ so it’s all understandable. I’ll make it up to her later. I promised Victoria I’d give her closure, so I have to do something.”

Simultaneously, he ordered his assistant to investigate whether Avery had deliberately fallen on the safety net and fabricated injuries and kiss marks to show him.

Though in his heart, he believed Avery was faking intimacy with another man to provoke him into “remembering” her.

Still, a shadow of doubt lingered, and he needed to completely eliminate it to ensure nothing would affect his future life with Avery.

As his assistant prepared to leave, Reed called him back and pulled out several of the most explicit photos from the pile.

“These won’t be necessary. Go ahead.”

The assistant took the remaining photos, giving Reed a complicated look before leaving.

Back in the hospital room, Avery was still trying to piece together what had happened over the past few days.

She scrolled through her phone and found a series of photos Victoria had been sending her.

All of them showed intimate moments between Victoria and Reed-

Reed on one knee, proposing to Victoria.

The two of them locked in an embrace, kissing.

Reed and Victoria’s wedding photos, set against a backdrop of roses-the same rose garden Reed had once planted for her.

That rose garden had been his anniversary gift to Avery. He’d told her the flowers there bloomed only for her.

Back then, he’d said, “For life, I’ll love only Avery Walsh.”

His vows still echoed in her ears, but the people in the photos had changed.

Avery remained silent, calmly blocking and deleting both Victoria and Reed.

Just as she put down her phone, the screen lit up again.

A news notification popped up:
