At the Price family’s old residence, Delilah sat at the dining table, staring bitterly at the bitter medicine in front of her.
“You can’t drink the medicine in small sips like that. It won’t go down. Just hold your breath and swallow it all at once. Afterward,
eat a dried fruit, and it’ll be much easier.”
The medicine was a tonic prescribed by the Herbalist to improve her health. Agatha only cared about getting Delilah’s body back to
full health so that she could give the Price family a healthy baby.
It had been three or four months, and Delilah’s stomach was starting to show. Fortunately, this pregnancy seemed to be stable,
and Agatha could finally relax.
Delilah took a deep breath, furrowing her brow as she swallowed the rest of the medicine in one go, then quickly stuffed a dried
fruit in her mouth, finally relaxing her expression.
“Enough with all these tonics. In my opinion, it’s better to eat more nutritious food instead.” Jamal grumbled as he adjusted his
outfit.
The butler was also helping Jamal get dressed, clearly preparing to go out.
“Are you two going somewhere?”
“Today, the Cohens is holding a family recognition banquet and invited both me and the old man. You stay home and take care of
Delilah. We should be back in the afternoon.”
Cohens? Delilah felt like she had heard the name recently. It wasn’t until she saw Damon walking in that it suddenly clicked.
A few days ago, media outlets reported that Omar Cohen was going to acknowledge a god-granddaughter.
The media claimed that Omar, who had been single and childless for many years, finally realized the importance of family and
decided to adopt a god-granddaughter. But the granddaughter was already in her twenties, which raised questions about whether
she could even help Omar in his old age.
There were even rumors suggesting that the god-granddaughter was Omar’s secret lover and that he used the title of ‘god-
granddaughter’ to protect his public image.
“Grandpa, Dad, are you ready? Since I’m free today, I’ll personally send you both there.”
Jamal grunted, “Since you got married, you haven’t come back. Now, suddenly, you’re free. Are you really free, or do you have other motives?”
Mark looked at Damon with suspicion. Today was the Cohens’ recognition banquet, where Omar would acknowledge Hazel as his god-granddaughter. Damon had been saying he was busy lately, but now he suddenly had time, which puzzled them both.
“Could it be that you know the god-granddaughter Omar is recognizing is Hazel, and that’s why you suddenly have time today?”

Mark was never one to avoid mentioning Hazel when speaking to Delilah. He had been warned before, but the old man only said
that Delilah wouldn’t mind. After all, if she had minded, she wouldn’t have entangled herself with Damon while he was still
married to Hazel.
Damon thought for a long time but couldn’t come up with a rebuttal, so he gave up.
“Grandpa, I just heard that you’re going out today, so I made time to see you off. What are you saying?”
Mark glanced at Damon, dressed in a formal suit, but didn’t call him out on it.
However, Delilah and Agatha couldn’t sit still. They both walked to the front one after the other, their expressions full of
suspicion.
“Is the god-granddaughter Omar is recognizing really Hazel?”
Agatha’s tone was laced with surprise. After all, Hazel was the eldest daughter of the Queen family, and now she had also become
the president of Queen Corp, which was enough to shock anyone.
Now, even someone as powerful as Omar had such a close relationship with her, which was hard to accept.
If Damon hadn’t divorced her, wouldn’t everything that Hazel had now belong to the Price family?
“Yes, if you spent more time socializing with the other madams, you wouldn’t be so easily shocked by everything.”
Jamal gave Agatha a disapproving glance. He hadn’t thought much of it before, but ever since Delilah moved into the old
residence, he’d become increasingly irritated by Agatha’s behavior.
She was constantly hovering around Delilah, worried about the baby in her womb.
As a mother-in-law, one should care for their daughter-in-law’s health, but Agatha seemed overly anxious, as if every little thing
was a crisis.
