The night all was cold as 1 len the Thorne fansion
Previously. I’d always come and gone with Dominic. This time, I came alone and left alone.
My phone suddenly displayed a notification-
(Exclusive: Thorne Heir Dumps Wife for Her Own Sister]
The featured image showed my back on my wedding day, seated at the staff table.
The comments section was vicious:
“Heard she hooks up with men at nightclubs every night. Deserves to be divorced!”
“Three years of marriage and no kids? Bet he couldn’t stand to touch her. Now the real wife is back, some people should just disappear.”
“LMAO the stand in is finally gone! After three years, he still chooses her. Guess who the true love is?”
I calmly turned off my screen.
Iremembered how three years ago, when the scandal of Regina fleeing her wedding started trending, Dominic immediately summoned his PR team overnight, making all negative news disappear within three hours.
Now, with false rumors about me spreading everywhere, he couldn’t care less.
Just as I reached my front door, my phone exploded with messages.
Mom: [Regina wants a family portrait. Get to the photo studio now.]
Dad: [Don’t be difficult. She doesn’t have much time left!]
Brother: [If you don’t show up, don’t consider yourself my sister anymore!]
I sighed heavily.
Regina and I shared the same mother but different fathers. After my mom remarried, she practically raised Regina.
Over time, I realized that even as my mother’s biological child, I could never replace Regina in her heart.
Regina was right–I’d never liked sharing. Not because I was selfish, but because they never understood how hard I had to fight for the things they took for granted.
My parents would forget to give me allowance when handing it out to the others.
The housekeeper never remembered my mango allergy, nearly sending me to the hospital several times.

Even on my wedding day, my mother sobbed: “If Regina hadn’t been tricked Into going abroad, she would have been the bride today.”
And now, they expected me–the woman whose husband had been stolen–to smile in a family portrait, pretending everything was harmonious.
My phone vibrated again.
This time it was Dominic, sending a location pin: “Come immediately.”
I laughed bitterly and turned off my phone.
This time, I wasn’t going to please anyone.
Just as I was about to enter my home, two strange men rushed toward me.
They grabbed my arms from both sides.
“What are you doing?” I struggled violently. “Let me go!“.
The black sedan raced through the night as I clutched the door handle.
Kidnapping? Revenge?
Or…
Only when the car screeched to a halt in front of the photo studio did I realize–Dominic had sent men to forcibly
bring me.
I was pushed inside, feeling cold to my core.
Regina was wearing a pristine white gown, leaning against Dominic’s chest.
“Riley, you’re here!” She smiled sweetly. “Stand next to me, won’t you?”
My brother grabbed me roughly, afraid I might cause a scene: “She’ll stand by me. Today is all about you!”
As the photographer adjusted our positions, I was gradually pushed to the edge of the frame.
When we finally finished, I trembled, desperate to leave.
Regina suddenly approached, whispering in my ear: “Riley Reed, are you deaf or blind? I stole your husband. Why don’t you hit me?”
I recognized her provocation.
At home, she’d always done this–goading me until I snapped, then playing the fragile victim.
But this time, I didn’t react.
She wasn’t worth it anymore.

As I turned to leave, she suddenly threw herself backward, the sound of her tearing gown piercing the air.
“Riley!” Dominle was the first to rush over, slapping me hard enough to knock me to the ground. “What have you done! Apologize right now!”
My ears rang from the impact.
The fall had been too violent–a sharp pain suddenly shot through my abdomen.
“Dominic…” I realized something was terribly wrong, clutching my stomach as I doubled over.
Inside was the child I’d wanted for two years…
“My stomach–I need a hospital…”
“One slap and you’re playing sick?” Dominic sneered. “Regina has terminal cancer and doesn’t act as pathetic as
you.”
“Riley, you’ve always been so dramatic,” my mother glared. “Regina doesn’t have much time left. Can’t you just let
her have this?”
My brother grabbed my hair, forcing my head up: “She hit your face, but you’re holding your stomach. Who are you performing for?”
With these, they all left, surrounding Regina, without a single glance back at me.
Curled up on the photo studio floor, I watched my phone screen turn red with blood.
Finally, I pressed a number I’d long avoided: “Come get me now. Everything you asked for… I agree to all of it.”
