Chapter 7
Nate anxiously bit his lip. “I’m going to be a father so soon?”
“You could choose not to step up, let me get rid of the baby.”
“No way! An abortion would be terrible for your health. Besides, it’s coming from your womb-I can raise it as my own.”
I burst out laughing at his earnestness. “You’ve got quite a big heart.”
“It’s called loving everything connected to you.”
Nate’s puppy-dog eyes were filled with such love for me. How had I never noticed how much this guy adored me?
“I’m just kidding. I’m not pregnant.”
“You’re not? Then why did Logan say you were?”
“Maybe he’s delusional. I never even slept with him-how could I be pregnant?”
Nate looked even more shocked. “You were about to get married and never slept together?”
“Why so surprised? Is it wrong to be traditional?”
Nate grinned mischievously. “In that case, shall we…”
Suddenly, he scooped me up and sprinted toward our hotel room.
From that moment on, we didn’t leave the hotel for the next three days and three nights…
Only then did I discover how incredible Nate truly was in bed.
A month later, we returned to the US.
“Honey, since we’re married now, shouldn’t you move in with me?” Nate asked.
“Of course. Help me pack up my place?”
When we arrived at my apartment, we found Logan squatting outside my door.
“Rayna! You finally decided to come back!”
When he saw Nate beside me, his frown deepened.
“It’s bad enough that you’re acting out, but dragging Mr. Sullivan into your drama? He’s a busy man with important business to handle-you’re wasting his time!”
Nate put his arm around me. “Don’t worry about that. I’m happy to accompany my wife.”
Logan looked at him with disdain. “Mr. Sullivan, you don’t need to keep up this act. I’ve done my research-you two were childhood friends. I understand why you’d help her.”
“But she’s carrying my baby now, and I need to take responsibility.”
“Rayna, please stop this nonsense. Everyone’s suffering because of you.”
“Just look at yourself-running around internationally with a baby bump, and dragging Mr. Sullivan along. Don’t you care about your

health at all?”
“I’ve been calling and texting you with no response. I’ve been waiting outside your door for two weeks!”
“After showing so much sincerity, can’t you stop this game?”
I listened quietly until he finished. “Logan, you seriously need to get your head examined. We never even lived together-how could I possibly be pregnant with your child?”
“That night when you were drunk, didn’t I take you home? I undressed you and we slept in the same bed!”
“And you said your period was late this month-what else could that mean except pregnancy?”
I couldn’t help but roll my eyes. “Nothing happened that night-you couldn’t even perform! And my period was late because my cycle has always been irregular!”
“Besides, I’ve already broken up with you. I’m Nate Sullivan’s wife now, so please stop bothering me.”
“Impossible! You love me so much-how could you marry someone else?”
I pulled our marriage certificate from my bag. “Open your damn eyes and see for yourself whether Nate and I are legally married!”
When he saw our marriage certificate, Logan was completely stunned.
