Ian’s frown was almost imperceptible, but a flicker of disgust shot through his eyes.
The ambulance soon arrived and took Eva away. However, neither Tan nor Sebastian followed. Instead, they walked toward me with bowed heads.
“I’m sorry, Sienna. After all these years… I owe you more than I can say.”
“Sienna, please consider me again.”
Then, they took out the ruby necklace they had just won at the auction.
“We don’t have much left to make it up to you. We saw you liked this necklace, so we
bought it to give to you.”
I took a step back, keeping my voice polite but cold. “Sirs, we’re not associated in any way.
It’s inappropriate for me to accept such an expensive gift from you.”
Each word struck like a blade, draining all the color from their faces.
“Sienna, do we have to be so distant?”
“We should’ve always been like this. I was your employer’s daughter while you were my driver,” I reminded Ian.
Ian was silent for a long time. His eyes glistened as if tears were forming, and his fingers
trembled, barely able to hold the necklace. Sebastian, too, looked like something inside him had finally crumbled.
However, I had already turned around and walked away.
Jasper stepped out from the shadows and handed me a new necklace. It was a ruby necklace
as well, but the gem was larger and more vibrant.
“I just bought it. It was only 1.5 million dollars. I think it’s prettier than theirs.”

When I looked back, Ian was still standing there, frozen in place. He was staring at me from across the crowd. However, I was no longer the woman who would wait for his love.
Even if he had not defended me just now, I would have requested the surveillance footage to prove my innocence.
I slipped my hand into Jasper’s. “Let’s go home, hubby.”
Ian’s POV.
I lost her.
I lost Sienna-the only woman who had ever loved me unconditionally.
I lost her forever.
I thought I had time. I thought she would wait.
However, when I got back from Hawee Island with Eva, all I found was an empty house… and cat poop all over the floor.
It was the first time I doubted what Eva said-“Mimi is an adorable cat.”
Why was there a mess everywhere? Why had I never noticed it before?
Then, the truth hit me like a bolt out of the blue. It had always been Sienna. She was allergic to cats, but she still cleaned up after Mimi. She wore masks when doing house chores, making sure to keep the place tidy. She did it because she was kind and because she loved
And I had pushed her away.
I called Eva to come by to pick up the cat.
She showed up with a broad smile, but the moment she saw the mess, her face twisted with

disgust. She picked up a broom and chased the cat out the door. “I only like clean cats. This one’s disgusting. Just let it go.”
Just from that, I realized Eva was not the sweet woman I thought she was. I might have been wrong about Sienna too.
However, Sienna did not give me another chance.
She got married to a man her family chose for her, and her new husband was ten times the
man I was.
At the auction, I wanted to give her one last gift, but she did not take it. Jasper then gave
a better one.
My chest ached. So, this was what jealousy felt like.

As for Eva, her baby was not even gone. The incident was a conspiracy she and my mother had hatched up to force me into marrying Eva. Just like that, I got together with my brother’s girlfriend.
No one even questioned it.
The baby was an accident. I was drunk that night and thought Eva was Sienna. That was how Eva gave birth to the baby.
It was not until I saw the surveillance footage outside the restroom that I finally understood I had wronged Sienna. She had never hurt Eva.
However, it was already too late. Everyone was pressuring me, and I caved. I married Eva.
After that, my company began to lose clients. I found out that most of our deals had been closed by Sienna, and some had been referrals from the Xenos family. She had given me so much, yet I had never even realized it.
I also only realized Sebastian had wanted to steal Sienna from me when someone exposed the video of him almost choking Sienna to death. I lost it and fought with Sebastian. We had not spoken since.

That was also when I learned that Eva had been part of his plan as well. He had wanted
Sienna and I to break up from the very beginning. Thankfully, Sienna did not end up choosing him either.
After that, I started drinking day and night.
Eva and her relatives took over the company, but I did not care. Only alcohol could numb
me, and only in my dreams could I see Sienna again. I missed her so much.
A year later, she officially took over Xenos Group. The following February, she held her piano recital. It was beautiful, just as it was the first time I heard her play in that little study
of hers.
When I got home, I reached for my wine again but then came the news-my company had gone bankrupt. Eva had taken everything and fled.
Shortly after, Sebastian stabbed her to death.
All she left me was a son who did not even look like me.
I knew then that I deserved this.
