“What’s the big deal for a young man? Besides, you can help with the company matters. You don’t necessarily have to be the one to stay with her.”
Agatha had always been a housewife with no concept of the company’s affairs. She thought it was fine as long as someone was taking care of things at the company. As the president, he didn’t really need to do much.
Damon hesitated for a moment before agreeing. “I’m fine, don’t worry, Dad. Delilah hasn’t woken up yet, and even if I go back, I wouldn’t be able to sleep well. It’s better to stay here at the hospital.”
After hearing this, Agatha smiled and nodded.
“That’s more like it. In my opinion, what’s so great about Hazel? Everyone’s siding with her. Even I can’t s

t say a word.”
“This living room has a bed and a big sofa. Ask the driver to bring over some extra blankets. I’ll stay up with you.”
The sofa was big enough, and they didn’t need to keep a constant watch over Delilah. As long as they could hear any noise from inside, it would be fine.
Agatha and Damon could sleep on the sofa and bed, respectively, while being at the hospital for mutual support.
“Alright, I’ll have the driver bring them over. I’ll head back for now, but call me if you need anything.”
As the father–in–law, it wasn’t ideal for him to stay by his daughter–in–law’s bedside, so he left it to Agatha and Damon.
The next morning, around 6 a.m., Agatha woke Damon up early.
“Damon, look at what they’re saying online. I told you Hazel wasn’t a good person, but you didn’t believe me. Look at all these insults online, and you–why are you having dinner with her?!”
Agatha, who was used to her own bed, couldn’t sleep in the hospital. So, she spent the night on her phone. She read everything about the recent events online and waited until she saw that Damon was sound asleep before she couldn’t hold back anymore. At 6 a.m., she finally erupted.
“I told you something was wrong with Delilah’s emotions. It turns out she saw all these things online. What were you thinking? You’ve divorced Hazel, so why are you still going out with her? If I were Delilah, I’d be angry too!”
“Delilah is pregnant now, and you’re still so close to your ex–wife. What do you think Delilah must be feeling?!”
As she was speaking, a nurse came in for her regular rounds.
Hearing Agatha’s loud voice, the nurse hurriedly advised, “Auntie, the patient is resting. You should keep your voice down so she can get better rest.”
Agatha smiled awkwardly and stopped talking. Once the nurse left, she began asking Damon for an explanation again. Unable to take it any longer, Damon grabbed Agatha’s phone and snatched it away from her.
“Mom, when will you stop? Do you really believe what those online people are saying? Our company has a par Grandpa Omar’s company, and Grandpa is also a good friend of his. Do you think it’s appropriate for you to be saying these things?”

Regardless of Hazel’s previous relationship with them, just considering their own family dynamics, Agatha shouldn’t be spreading baseless rumors from the internet.
Agatha didn’t want to listen to Damon’s lengthy explanations. She never cared about interpersonal relationships, which was why she didn’t even have a single real friend.
“Even if those rumors online are false, there are photos and videos of you having dinner with Hazel. You can’t deny it, can you? So tell me, what’s really going on?”

Damon sighed deeply. Seeing Agatha’s expression, he knew she hadn’t listened to a word he said.
“Our company is currently cooperating with the Queen Corp. Hazel is the president of the Queen Corp. What’s so strange about having a meal with her to discuss work?”
Before Agatha could press further, a rustling sound came from the hospital room, and she hurried inside.
Delilah had woken up. Her face was pale, and she was touching something at the head of the bed.
“Delilah, you’re awake? How are you feeling? Is there anything uncomfortable?”
Given her condition, the doctor didn’t dare administer any strong medication. She had only received a gentle IV drip the night
before.
When Delilah saw Agatha and then saw Damon standing behind her, a smile spread across her face.
“Mom, Damon, why are you both here? I’m fine, just a bit weak. You didn’t stay up all night here, did you?”
Agatha poured a glass of water and handed it to Delilah. “Of course I didn’t go home last night, and Damon didn’t either. We’re both here keeping you company. You don’t have to worry. I’ll make sure to keep a close eye on Damon.”
Damon sighed helplessly. Delilah seemed to be in a good mood now, but Agatha, as a mother–in–law, had to bring up the most awkward topics.
Delilah awkwardly didn’t know where to put her hands.
Damon took the water from Agatha’s hand. “Mom, you’ve been up all night. You should go rest now. I’ll stay here with her.” As he spoke, he helped Delilah sit up and handed her the water.
Agatha exclaimed, immediately pushing Damon aside. “It’s because you’re here that I’m worried! You don’t know how to take care of people. Delilah needs to rest, not sit up. Giving her water is such a simple thing. You should just feed it to her!” Saying this, Agatha demonstrated to Damon how to do it. “Look, it’s that simple.”
Delilah, overwhelmed by the attention, enjoyed Agatha’s service. Agatha had always been there for her before, but this time, the care was more meticulous, and Damon was right there by her side.
It seemed like this fainting incident wasn’t entirely bad for her; at least, it solidified her position in the Price family.
“Mom, what exactly happened to me? What did the doctor say? Is the baby alright?”
“Don’t worry, everything’s fine. The doctor said it was just from emotional stress causing you to faint. Your grandpa invited the best obstetrician to come help you recover. They’ve already moved in with us. She’s a professional, definitely better than I could ever do.”
When Delilah heard this, she widened her eyes dramatically. “It’s just emotional instability. Pregnant women often feel that way. It’s not a big deal. Why did Grandpa go to the trouble of bringing in a doctor?”
Agatha, pleased with herself, continued, “No matter how impressive Grandpa is, he still cares so much about the baby inside you.”
To Agatha, Delilah and her baby were her good fortune. Thanks to them, the Price family would now take her more seriously. Especially after this incident, Mark and Jamal would definitely give her more attention.
Once the baby was born, she, as the grandmother, would certainly be involved in taking care of it, making her life less dull.
