Neither of their names had a title or explanation attached, and Niamh had never imagined she’d become this famous.
She’d never dreamed she’d wake up one day to find her own wedding photos splashed across the internet-
Wedding photos with Jonathan.
These weren’t the polished studio portraits couples usually post. No, these were candid shots from the actual ceremony.
In the picture, Niamh wore a pearl–white off–the–shoulder satin gown, exchanging rings with Jonathan, who looked impossibly sharp in a bespoke black suit.
The photo was real–Niamh was certain of it.
She also knew that barely anyone in the entire Thomas family had a copy.
But the version circulating online was low–res and grainy; you could just about make out who the bride and groom were.
Niamh–married to the heir of the Thomas Group?!
No way. That had to be fake.
The timing was so suspicious, anyone would wonder who was behind it.
And with the picture so blurry, it was obvious someone didn’t want anyone spotting
inconsistencies.
Fake news, people–move along!
“If Niamh is really Jonathan’s wife, I’ll eat fifty pounds of garbage on livestream!” someone declared.
The internet had a field day. But for all the noise, not a single person was calling Niamh a homewrecker anymore.
Niamh didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
That’s the internet for you: one blurry photo, and suddenly everyone’s inventing their own plot twists. No one cared about facts–just the thrill of the t big story.
Following the trending topic, Niamh noticed another post from about ten minutes ago, supposedly from a burner account, claiming Jonathan’s car had been spotted by city hall.

Chapter 121
“So that’s why the reporters tracked me down,” she murmured, sipping her coffee.
The Thomas Group had official accounts on every major platform.
After the wedding photo leaked, the comments exploded. But the company itself stayed completely silent, which only made more people think the photo was fake.
Within a few hours, the trending topic was gone.
Very few seemed convinced that Niamh and Jonathan were married, but those who’d once loudly accused her of wrecking Daniel’s marriage were suddenly quiet.
Now, everyone’s attention had shifted, speculating about how much Daniel and his company, Riverside Properties, had embezzled, and wondering how many years in prison Daniel would get.
Niamh drained the last of her coffee and shot Jonathan a quick text:
Was this your doing?
He replied a few minutes later:
What are you talking about?
She didn’t answer.
The timing of the trending post and that photo was too perfect. She couldn’t help wondering if Jonathan had orchestrated it behind the scenes to help her.
But his response seemed genuinely clueless.
As for the triplicate divorce agreements she’d signed–it was obvious those had come from her father–in–law, Sprague.
There was no way Sprague would be on her side.
Marigold was even less likely.
Process of elimination left Niamh with only one possibility: her grandfather.
Clifford had once told her that if she insisted on divorcing Jonathan, he wouldn’t stand in her way.
But Niamh knew him better than that–Clifford didn’t want her
ving Jonathan.
So maybe, just maybe, Clifford was behind Daniel’s downfall and the wedding photo leak.
The truth was, Niamh had never really understood what Clifford saw in her.

Chapter 121
But one thing was certain-
Clifford absolutely couldn’t stand Marina.
Niamh knew very little about Marina.
Just that she’d been Jonathan’s high school classmate, his first love.
On paper, Marina was everything: smart, beautiful, accomplished, and from a good family. She and Jonathan had history, were perfectly matched, and, frankly, she’d always seemed like the obvious choice for his wife.
Thinking of all Marina’s qualities, Niamh sighed.
The Thomas Group.
Even though her wedding photo with Jonathan hadn’t stayed at the top of trending searches for long, the uproar was loud enough that half the company had seen it.
Neither Jonathan nor the company’s official accounts had confirmed anything.
But they hadn’t denied it, either.
In fact, among Thomas Group employees, more people seemed to believe the rumor than not.
