The Finn father walked on stage. I nodded at

Finnegan gave Preston a dirty look and took
my hand.
The Finn father spoke. “I have an
announcement.
“My son, Finn, and Sugar Plum are engaged.
The wedding will be next month. I hope you’ll
be there.”
The room erupted in cheers.
Finnegan and I stood next to the Finn father.
The four guys face became full of shock.

Brianna panicked and grabbed Preston. “It is
okay,” she said, “After all, whatever the lady
does, I will obey everything that she says.”
Preston shoved her away. “I am not with you
no more! You are nothing, you know that!”
Hearing him say that, her face went blank.
“Preston, what are you saying? I…”
She looked for Brent and Simon.
But they weren’t looking at her. Their faces
had those expression. She was lost for words.
