Chapter 25
Erica looked at the sky, has the sun risen from the west?.
“No need.” She immediately refused.
Morgan’s face was already grim, and hearing her rejection made it even more unpleasant, “It’s not easy to get a taxi here. Why would you let the child endure the cold wind with you?”
She obviously won’t stand here enduring the cold wind. She had driven here.
But it wouldn’t be safe to let Lily sleep on the car seat at will.
Considering this, she finally stopped and followed Morgan onto his car.
She noticed the wound on Morgan’s hand, and when he was about to open the car door for her, she stopped him, “Why don’t we switch places? You help me hold Lily in the back.”
“You know how to drive?” Surprise showed on Morgan’s face.
She didn’t just “know” how to drive.
After four years in the West family, Morgan didn’t even know that she could drive, which was enough to show how little attention he paid to her.
Erica didn’t say much, just nodded and took the keys from him.
Morgan didn’t say anything and got into the car.
When Erica handed Lily to him, he was completely awkward.
“Holding her head is enough.”
Morgan raised his arms a bit higher, supporting the little head against his chest.
He didn’t dare to move.
When he looked down and saw the rosy face of the child leaning against his chest, with her hair flowing, a soft sensation passed through his heart.
Erica remained silent, got into the car, and skillfully started the engine.
Not wanting Morgan to know her location, she drove to a convenient spot to call a taxi and then stopped, “We’re here, thank you.”
After saying that, she hugged Lily from his arms and walked away.
“Erica!”
From behind, Morgan called her name, “I owe Lily, and I will make it up to her, but my child will never need someone else as a father, that’s for sure!”
“I’m really curious, how will Mr. Morgan make it up to Lily?” Erica stopped and half–smiling, looked at him.
“Tomorrow I will have our divorce quashed, you move back to the West house, and I will try to spend as much time as possible with Lily.”
“Annulment of divorce?” Morgan said this, and Erica was quite surprised, “Mr. West made this decision, does Miss Willis agree?” “
“Why would she agree?” Just confronting Erica, Morgan’s tone becomes rather impatient.
“You two are engaged, this is the least respect for your fiancée.”
“Huh? Engaging?” Morgan was obviously surprised, but he didn’t bother much and said, “Just follow my instructions, you don’t need to worry about anything else!”
Chapter 25
Erica has long been used to Morgan’sert
s arrogan
She didn’t get angry but tilted her head, “Then I have a question that you might care more about. Does Mr. West want to cancel the divorce decision because you love me?”
“All I’m doing is to give my child a complete family!” Morgan didn’t think much and threw out a warning.
“Just that?”
Erica burst into laughter in front of him.
“Do you really think having both parents is the best way for a child’s comprehensive development?”
“You’ve never experienced growing up
an incomplete family, so how would you know this type of family is not good?”
“Since I was young, I didn’t have a mother. My father raised me alone, but I’ve never felt pitiful.”
“He gave me all his love and only asked one thing from me, which is to live happily.”
“But our marriage has lasted for four years. Now Lily is three years old. Let me ask, has the little one been happy in
the past
years?”
“She’s afraid that you’re not happy, afraid that your mother is not happy, afraid that your younger sister is not happy, afraid of upsetting me, and she’s even afraid that I won’t be happy.”
“To avoid making others unhappy, she tried her best to behave well and obediently to the extent that she didn’t dare to perform her favorite dances!”
“Do you still want her to stay in such a dull environment? Do you want to drive her insane?”
Upon hearing this, Erica couldn’t help but choke up.
“All of these things can change,” Morgan didn’t think it was a big deal.
“What if they change? It’s undeniable that you don’t love me. How will Lily feel in the future? She might think that it’s because of her existence that we are bound to each other. She’ll think she’s to blame!”
Morgan: “…”
Before Erica mentioned this, he thought it was the best way to make it up to Lily.
“Morgan, don’t worry, I will take good care of Lily.”
His arm was hurting from holding Lily for too long, and he lowered his head and walked away.
Morgan didn’t go home but headed to Nancy’s place.
Seeing Morgan, Nancy’s eyes lit up, and she jumped up, “Morgan, you’re here, come in.”
Morgan didn’t budge, just placed his phone in front of her, “Quickly delete this photo.”
Nancy looked down and saw the post on her social media alluding to her engagement.
“I’m really sorry, Morgan. I just missed the old days, found this picture, and felt happy, so I posted it.”
She hurriedly explained while secretly observing Morgan’s expression.
“Remembering it reminds me, it’s all Erica’s fault. If she hadn’t spoken too quickly and made me unable to get on stage, we wouldn’t have broken up…”
“The matter between you and me has never had anything to do with Erica.” Morgan coldly reminded.
Tonight, he didn’t want to hear that name again.
“Besides, four years ago, we were over, and now we’re just friends.”
