Chapter 32
Sebastian was in the middle of a business discussion when someone knocked on the door. His assistant, Lucas Morris, came in.
Confusion flashed across Sebastian’s eyes as he asked, “Lucas?”
The ongoing business discussion was extremely important, and he had informed Lucas not to disturb him if there wasn’t anything urgent.
Lucas didn’t look quite happy as he whispered, “Mr. Holt, your wife seems to have gotten into a fight with the heir of the Hutz family, Leonard Hutz. Do you want to take a look at the situation?”
“Vivienne? What is she doing here?” Sebastian frowned and made his way down after apologizing to his business partners.
The second he arrived downstairs, a few of the wealthy heirs who knew Sebastian came up to greet him.
“Mr. Holt, why did you bring Vivienne with you again? She just caused a whole lot of trouble for you.”
Blake Davis, who was one of the wealthy heirs, said, “What do you expect? Something always happens wherever she goes. She just gave Leonard a slap for no reason, and she… she had even kicked him in the balls. Who knows if she broke something?”
Frowning, Sebastian looked around and saw Vivienne standing in the middle of the crowd.
At that moment, she was standing there indifferently, not the slightest bit afraid or worried about the crowd of onlookers.
Her expression was so calm that it felt like the whole incident had nothing to do with her.
Melanie’s sharp gaze immediately spotted Sebastian. So, she quickly made her way toward him and whispered, “Sebastian, I overheard what had happened just
now.
“Mr. Hutz had accidentally spilled a glass of wine on Ms. Moore, infuriating her. Not only did she proceed to slap him, but she had even kicked him in the balls.” Everyone around them began to discuss what had happened.
“Isn’t that woman, Vivienne, a bit too arrogant? He just accidentally spilled a glass of wine on her. Is there really a need for her to hit him?”
“It’s because she’s Sebastian’s wife. Even so, she shouldn’t have done that.”
“I heard that the Hutz Group is one of the Holt Group’s main business partners. If this incident is not settled properly, the alliance between the two families will probably crumble…”
“Who would possibly like a useless woman like her? If I were Sebastian, I would have chosen Melanie too.”
The crowd continued to murmur about the incident, and all their faces were filled with glee.
Everyone knew that Leonard was the Hutz family’s only child. Not to mention, he was infamous for his cruel tactics and how good he was at holding a grudge. Vivienne would probably be skinned alive after provoking him to such an extent.
Hearing the crowd’s murmurs, Sebastian stepped into the crowd.
Seeing him step forward, the crowd quickly made way for him.
After Leonard had recovered slightly from his injury, he was carried to a chair. He glared at Vivienne with pure hatred in his eyes, like a wolf about to pounce. Leonard was just about to say something when a cold voice broke the tense silence.
“Vivienne, apologize to Mr. Hutz immediately.”
Vivienne turned and immediately saw Sebastian slowly making his way toward her. His gaze was ice cold, and his expression seemed to be shrouded in frost. Although she was slightly surprised to see him, her expression immediately fell when she saw Melanie standing beside him.
She replied coldly, “I refuse to do so. He should apologize to me.”
Everyone looked dumbfounded upon hearing Vivienne’s words. “Has she gone crazy? She’s the one who hit Leonard, but she
him to apologize to her instead.”
“It’s clear that Mr. Holt is trying to help her by asking her to apologize. Once she does, the situation will come to an end. What more does she want?”
“Vivienne truly is evil and idiotic. She had humiliated Mr. Holt by falling into the water in public. I thought she’d learn to behave herself and pay more attention to how she acts in public afterward. I never thought she’d still continue to humiliate Mr. Holt.”
“Vivienne sure doesn’t know when to stop. I’m actually beginning to pity Mr. Holt. How did he end up marrying such a humiliating and disgraceful woman?”
The crowd’s murmurs caused Sebastian’s eyes to turn even colder. He grabbede’s wrist and demanded, “Vivienne, I’m asking you to apologize.”
