Chapter 19
Owen’s heart sank suddenly, and his eyes cleared for a moment.
He heard the sound of fighting outside the house, and faintly recognized a few familiar voices. After a scream, someone fell to the ground.
Soon, the people he brought were all captured, unable to move one by
one.
The people he brought were all professionally trained. The fact that they were subdued so quickly only indicates that the number of people coming from the other side was too many!
Liam calmly looked out the window, the glass reflecting the miserable state of those people. Before long, most of them were taken care of, each one bruised and swollen.
He smiled lightly and casually.
“From the moment you set foot in Chicago, I knew exactly what you did and who you contacted.”
“Otherwise, do you think your assistant could easily find where I am
now?”
Owen suddenly remembered the video he had secretly taken at the party.
He then realized that something was wrong.

Only distinguished guests were invited to the banquet, who would dare to take sneaky photos?
Owen gritted his teeth and said, “Liam, you tricked me.”
Liam shrugged indifferently, “You’re wrong. I don’t bother to scheme against you. Everything I do is for Maya. Your indifference led you to lose Maya, but I can’t. I can’t let any possibility of losing Maya exist.”
“I also have to thank you, it was you who personally pushed Maya away and pushed her towards me.”
In the blink of an eye, Liam’s men had already surrounded Owen.
“Send him back to where he came from.”
Liam gave a signal, and the bodyguards moved forward to restrain Owen’s limbs.
Owen struggled desperately, his eyes bloodshot.
“Get lost! Whoever dares to touch me today, I will definitely not let him off!”
“Maya, you can’t trust him, he was never a good person!”
No matter how he shouted, it was all in vain.
He was rudely dragged towards the door, his expensive suit torn and his whole person in a sorry state.
Liam ignored him and instead looked gently at Maya, saying, “Maya, let’s go.”

Maya nodded gently, her gaze never landing on Owen, only leaving him with a back view.
The door was slammed shut in front of him, cutting off his cries and draining all his strength in an instant.
In the darkness of the night, Owen was unceremoniously thrown out of the plane.
Left behind together were also his henchmen he brought to Chicago, now all lying twisted and contorted.
The night wind howled, carrying a bone-chilling coldness.
Owen, however, seemed to be numb to everything, just sitting paralyzed on the ground, staring blankly ahead with his mind filled with Maya’s departing figure.
His clothes were torn in half due to the struggle all the way, attracting the attention of passersby.
“Isn’t that Owen, the eldest son of the first family of New York? Why does he look so lost and dejected?”
“It is said that his beloved crush, with whom he had been in a love- hate relationship for several years, deceived him. It was only then that he realized he had always loved the substitute of his beloved crush. Unfortunately, it was too late, as the other person had long since moved on and no longer wanted him.”
Whispers were like icy arrows, piercing Owen’s heart one by one, causing him unbearable pain.

He leaned against the roadside and lit a cigarette.
The lighter flickered and went out on his trembling fingertips, one cigarette after another, his face obscured in the smoke, his expression indiscernible.
By the time he finished his fifth cigarette, tears mixed with the bitter taste of smoke fell from his eyes, and his shoulders couldn’t help but tremble slightly.
“Maya, I’m sorry…”
He finally couldn’t help but cover his face and cry, broken syllables pouring out from his throat.
That night, he got drunk and stumbled his way back home, only to find the door slightly ajar.
In the dim glow of the floor lamp, one could faintly see a long-haired woman lying down.
She was wearing a mint green sundress, identical to the one Maya had worn before!
“Maya?”
Owen’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he floated into the room, not even bothering to notice as his knees banged heavily against the door frame. Trembling, he reached out to touch her shoulder.
He held the person tightly in his arms, his voice filled with both ecstasy and pain.

“Maya, you’re back. You finally agreed to come back and see me. I’m really happy.”
“I won’t make you angry again in the future, I will definitely make it up to you.”
Suddenly tightened, Jessica’s back instantly tensed up.
A hint of jealousy flashed in her eyes. She had never expected the power of Maya’s clothes to be so great, nor had she expected Owen’s feelings for Maya to be so strong.
It’s okay, as long as it happens again… he won’t be able to bear it.
Jessica still had a sweet smile on her face as she gently hooked her hand around Owen’s neck.
She learned Maya’s tone.
“Owen, you’re back.”
As soon as she finished speaking, Owen suddenly froze in place.
The longing and burning in his eyes faded in an instant, he was shocked as if struck by lightning, and suddenly pulled back his hand.
“Who let you dress like this?” He stared at the glaring green, his voice suddenly turning cold. “Where did this dress come from?”
