Chloe’s eyes sparkled with amusement as she looked at me with smug arrogance. “Leah, I have very high standards for office cleanliness. You need to put your heart into your work from now on. Oh, and the law firm’s toilets—you’ll need to clean those spotless too. Remember to scrub them by hand!”
After she finished speaking, she immediately burst into laughter with her colleagues behind her. They pointed and stared at me like I was some kind of circus act.
Looking at this scene that was identical to my previous life, my face remained completely expressionless.
I didn’t throw a tantrum like I had in my past life, threatening to file a labor dispute. I simply nodded and said calmly, “Just don’t regret this later.” Then I left the pizza place amid their mocking laughter.
After I left, Chloe and Martin became even more triumphant. Unable to wait for the dinner to end, they rushed to the restroom to celebrate with an embrace.
“Martin, now both the senior partner position and you are mine. Aren’t I amazing? I got rid of Leah so easily!”
Martin pulled Chloe into his arms, his hands wandering uncontrollably over her body as he spoke in a husky voice: “Yes,
you’re incredible. Don’t worry, I’ll help you take over all of Leah’s cases. As long as we’re together, I’ll give you everything!”
Chloe became even more pleased, a flash of smug disgust flickering in her eyes before she immediately put on a vulnerable act: “You’re the best, Martin. I’ll give you anything you want, as long as you get me all of Leah’s cases!”
Martin’s eyes lit up. After all, Chloe was acknowledged as the beauty of the law firm, with her gorgeous face and perfect figure. Having such a beauty interested in him was simply his good fortune.
His desire ignited, he tore at Chloe’s clothes, panting heavily: “Chloe, hurry… give it to me now…”
Chloe’s eyes flashed with revulsion. Seeing that Martin was about to strip off all her clothes, she quickly found an excuse: “Don’t rush, Martin. Once Leah’s situation is completely resolved, I promise I’ll make you feel good…”
They continued their intimate encounter for quite a while before she finally pushed Martin away and walked out of the restroom.
After watching Martin leave, Chloe snorted contemptuously and dialed a number: “Mr. Reyes, I’ve taken care of everything you asked me to do. You should have my payment ready, right?”
After the person on the other end said something, Chloe replied
dismissively: “Don’t worry. In our law firm, only Leah has decent cases. The rest are all worthless. Once you take these cases away, they’ll go bankrupt.”
After she said this, the other party was clearly satisfied and gave her a few more instructions before hanging up. Chloe hummed a tune smugly as she touched up her makeup in the mirror, then clicked out in her high heels.

The next day, I went to the law firm as usual. As soon as I sat down, Chloe threw a mop in front of me and commanded from above: “Leah, what do you think you’re doing? You’re just a janitor at our firm now, and you still dare to sit at a lawyer’s desk? Have you no shame?”
I responded calmly: “According to the contract, I signed at five-year lawyer position agreement with the firm. No one has the authority to reassign me.”
Chloe seemed quite pleased with my reaction. She crossed her arms and leaned against the desk, looking at me mockingly: “So you’re refusing Mr. Green’s arrangement? If you won’t accept it, then go file for labor arbitration. But I remember all our company’s employment contracts from five years ago were paper copies. Do you still have your employment contract? If you can’t produce the contract, you’ll lose miserably in arbitration too.”
