She wanted the law firm’s boss and colleagues to completely believe her “rebirth” story, then use this method to destroy me and take away all the cases I had in hand.
This was also why she seduced Martin, because only Martin could take all my materials without me being on guard, making me lose the labor arbitration and unable to keep the cases I was handling.
Martin rushed in frantically, but he wasn’t looking for me. Instead, his face flushed red as he glared at Chloe, gritting his teeth: “Chloe, the police just called me, saying I’m suspected of bribing a criminal suspect. What the hell is going on?

“I already know you’re Lucas’s mistress at Verity Law Firm! He deliberately sent you to our firm to steal all of Leah’s cases, and I actually thought you liked me!”
As soon as he finished speaking, two groups of people walked through the law firm’s entrance simultaneously. The first group was police, with the lead officer saying: “Who are Chloe Hill and Martin Gomez?
