Chapter 3: Leaving
Selene’s POV
There was a swing in the small garden, one that my parents had carefully made for me. On both sides of the swing, they had planted my favorite wisteria flowers. At this moment, on the swing, Chloe Parker, delicate and graceful, had her arms wrapped around a man’s neck, initiating a kiss.

But over time, many things changed, and Jaxon Lancaster’s attitude shifted.
I couldn’t deny that I had felt his growing indifference and neglect, and I would always reflect on whether I had done something wrong.
Gradually, it seemed like everything I did was taken for granted.

Chloe Parker quickly ran over, her eyes filled with tears, and she even tried to grab my hand. Instinctively, I pulled

When she mentioned the war, I noticed that Eleanor’s gaze immediately softened, and she looked at Chloe with great affection.
Her words… God, they sounded like an apology. Sweet and Gentle.. But every single sentence was a knife-twisting right into me.
She’s such a bitch. But that’s Chloe for
