After leaving the register office, Winter called Dominic many times to tell him what she’d done, but he didn’t answer a single call.
Having donated too much blood, she felt weak and decided to rest.
The next day, she went to the hospital and saw Dominic at the door of the patient room.
He sat beside the bed, cooling a bowl of porridge before carefully feeding it to Aurelia, his movements incredibly gentle.
Winter watched silently, remembering how in her previous life, she had fainted from blood loss countless times, but he had never once visited her. She suddenly felt both foolish and pitiful.
After taking several deep breaths to compose herself, she knocked on the door.
Dominic turned, and when he saw her, his smile froze. He coldly came out, closing the door behind him, his voice exhausted.
“I didn’t answer your calls, so you came here? What do you want?“.
His eyes were bloodshot with dark circles, his tone impatient.
Winter didn’t waste time, handing him the bag and marriage certificate.
“I wanted to tell you that I’ve gotten the marriage certificate.”
Dominic gave her a dark look, his voice cold.
“Shut up! Aurelia just woke up from her accident. I don’t want her to know about our marriage yet!”
“It’s not you and me. The people who got the certificate are you and…”
Before Winter could finish explaining, Dominic cut her off in a low voice.
“Enough! Remember! If it weren’t for Aurelia, I would never marry you! Have some self–awareness! Don’t spread this news around, and don’t show off in front of Aurelia!”

Back home, she gathered everything related to Dominic–thousands of secretly taken photos, the school uniform he casually discarded at graduation, Christmas gifts she had purchased from others after he had exchanged them away…
She had started loving him at fifteen, became his wife at twenty–two, and died on the operating table at twenty–nine. Her treasured collection of his belongings filled the entire room.
It took a full two days to finally clear everything out. She asked the housekeeper to move these dozens of boxes to the front door, planning to throw them all away.
Just as they were brought outside, she spotted Dominic’s car parked at her doorstep.
The window lowered, and he glanced sideways at those boxes, his eyes cold as ice.
“Aurelia is still very weak, so I’ve taken her to my home to care for her. Yes, we got our marriage certificate, but without my consent, you cannot move in on your own.”
Winter was momentarily stunned. Following his gaze, she realized he had misunderstood and wanted to explain.
“These are things I’m throwing away. I wasn’t planning to move to your house…”
“As long as you’re not moving in, I don’t care what you’re throwing away. Get in the car.”
Dominic coldly interrupted her words, instructing his driver to open the back door.
Winter was confused, a hint of puzzlement crossing her face.
