“Those wolves who bullied you, who made you suffer, I’ll make them pay. As for Gianna… whatever punishment you want for her, I’ll do it. How about it?”
He eagerly tried to get closer, reaching out to touch my face, but I subtly stepped back, avoiding him.
“If you have something to say, just say it. I’m not interested in your power games. If you genuinely want to apologize for the past,
I was about to say, “then please leave my life and let me start over,” but he seemed to sense it and quickly cut me off.
then…”
“I won’t give up! Sera, I love you! I really can’t live without you! However they hurt you back then, I’ll make them pay back tenfold, a hundredfold!”
“Those wolves who looked down on you, I won’t let a single one of them off!!
His gaze was almost deranged, like a child who’d lost his most precious toy, willing to do anything to get it back.
“Too late,” I said softly. My voice wasn’t loud, but it was like a sharp blade, precisely splitting his defenses.

Chapter 11
“Eric, don’t you really get it?”
My voice was devoid of any emotion, each word like an ice–coated arrow, piercing his very soul, freezing him on the spot.
Just then, Gianna rushed over from nearby, looking disheveled, her eyes burning with unconcealed resentment and jealousy. Her shouts were piercing in the quiet street:
“Eric! Who are you going to take revenge on for her? You’re the one who should be punished the most! You ruined everything for me!”
Eric’s blood ran cold. He wanted to pretend he hadn’t heard, instinctively wanting to escape. But my calm gaze left him no way out, like a mirror forcing him to face his own ugliness.
I ignored the hysterical Gianna, simply withdrawing my gaze and turning to leave the farce.
My voice was steady and clear, one word at a time: “Eric, she’s right. If we’re looking for a culprit for the pain I suffered, you’re the one who should face retaliation. I was always an Omega with no one to rely on. In the eyes of high–and–mighty nobles like you, those of us at the bottom are as insignificant as dust. If it weren’t for you, they wouldn’t have even noticed my existence.”
“You dragged me into that world full of discrimination and contempt. I was your secret lover, forced to hide in a dark storage room, enduring your ambiguous relationship with Gianna while you enjoyed the benefits of your alliance. You allowed your mother, Gianna, and those sycophantic pack members to insult me, belittle me, and trample on my dignity.”
“Eric, the root of all this is you.”
Eric didn’t want to admit it, but the truth was that cruel.
He opened his mouth to argue, to say he didn’t mean it, that he had his reasons, that he actually loved me. But memories of a past he tried so hard to forget flooded his mind with painful clarity.
In a daze, he was back five years ago.
He saw himself, face full of impatience, accusing me of stalking him, of “deliberately” dirtying Gianna’s clothes out of jealousy.
He saw himself during the Blackridge pack attack, unhesitatingly shielding his mother and Gianna, but ignoring my safety, letting me be thrown aside, head bleeding.
