I hung up decisively and turned off my phone,
Listening to the roar of the plane’s engines, I finally felt freedom.
Theo stood in Camilla’s apartment, gripping his disconnected phone, looking, completely stunned.
His voice was hoarse, like he was fighting to suppress some overwhelming emotion.
“Where the hell did she go?”
Camilla crossed her arms and let out a cold laugh,”What, you finally thought to ask?”

Camilla covered her mouth with exaggerated amusement.
“Mr. Camden, what do you think marriage certificates are? Loyalty cards from the grocery store? What exactly do you get for collecting seven of them?”
