Dump His Dying 13

Dump His Dying 13

Chapter 13

Reed sat amidst the razor-sharp glass shards, downing one bottle of liquor after another.

He didn’t know how much he’d drunk, only that his throat burned and his stomach churned violently.

Those images played over and over in his mind like a nightmare.

He kept mumbling, “I’m sorry, Avery… I’m so sorry…”

I failed to protect you.

I pushed you into the abyss with my own hands.

For three whole days, he neither ate nor drank, letting alcohol numb him. Unshaven, bloodshot eyes, he had deteriorated to the extreme.

Until his assistant came. “Sir, we’ve caught those men.”

Reed slowly raised his head, a cold gleam flashing in his eyes. He rose unsteadily, grabbed a knife, and went to where they were being held.

He would castrate them with his own hands.

In the basement, several men were tied to chairs. Seeing Reed walking in, they trembled with fear, falling to their knees, begging for mercy.

“Please, spare us!”

“We were just following orders!”

“It was Victoria! Victoria Hayes made us do it!”

Hearing Victoria’s name, Reed froze.

“Explain.”

“Victoria paid us to frame Mrs. Bennett for kidnapping her!” the leader cried. “Then… then she made us assault Mrs. Bennett. Later, Victoria had

someone release us…”

“We really didn’t want to, but Victoria threatened us! She said she’d make sure we disappeared without a trace if we didn’t comply!”

“Please, we all have families! Spare us!”

Reed’s knife-wielding hand bulged with veins, murderous intent practically materializing in his eyes.

After a moment, he left the basement, took out his phone, and dialed Victoria’s number.

His voice was terrifyingly calm: “Come over.”

On the other end, Victoria’s heart leaped with wild joy when she heard Reed’s voice.

Thinking Reed had changed his mind, she quickly agreed.

Half an hour later, Victoria arrived at Reed’s house, meticulously dressed.

“Reed…”

She timidly entered the living room, seeing Reed sitting on the sofa, her face taking on a hurt expression.

“I’m packing my things and will go abroad for treatment as promised.”

She wiped crocodile tears, feigning weakness. “Though I hate to leave you, I’ll keep my word.”

Chapter 13

Reed slowly stood up, walking toward her step by step.

Victoria, seeing this, thought Reed couldn’t bear to part with her and secretly gloated.

“Reed, if you want me to stay, I’m willing…”

SLAP!

Before she could finish, a heavy hand struck her face, sending her crashing to the floor.

Victoria’s ears rang, completely dazed.

When she looked up to see Reed’s blood-red eyes and demonic expression, she felt an icy chill run through her body.

She finally realized Reed wasn’t reluctant to part with her at all.

“Why did you do it?”

Reed’s voice was terrifyingly low, each word dripping with bone-chilling coldness.

“I already agreed to fulfill your wish. Why did you frame Avery for kidnapping you? Why did you let those bastards…”

He couldn’t continue, his entire body radiating murderous intent.

Victoria frantically scrambled to her feet, clutching at Reed’s pant leg as she sobbed hysterically.

“I didn’t! Reed, I swear I didn’t!”

“I don’t know who told you what, but I never did such things! I’m the victim here!”

She sobbed dramatically. “Maybe Avery angered those men after we left, or perhaps… Avery already had something going on with those men…”

“SHUT YOUR MOUTH!”

The killing intent in Reed’s eyes nearly tore Victoria to pieces. Seeing such a look, her remaining words died in her throat.

Victoria collapsed to the floor, clutching her chest in pretended pain.

“It hurts so much… Reed, my illness is flaring up…”

She reached out, trembling, trying to grab Reed. “Please help me. I don’t have much time left… For old times’ sake and for my father’s sake, help me…”

Yet Reed kicked her hand away.

“Stop the act.”

“You were never sick. I’ve known that all along.”

“I only granted you this wish out of respect for your father. But I never imagined you’d harm Avery-that crosses a line I can never forgive!”

Hearing this, Victoria’s face instantly drained of all color.

“No

no… I didn’t… I’m being framed…”

“Those men have all been brought back,” Reed looked down at her coldly. “They confessed everything.”

Victoria still made one last desperate attempt: “This must be Avery conspiring with them! Avery hates me so much-why should I believe she was forced? Maybe she enjoyed herself with those men and is now framing me!”

Hearing this, Reed remembered the video footage, remembered how the light in Avery’s eyes had gradually dimmed. The rage in his heart instantly surged to the heavens.

He grabbed Victoria’s throat, lifting her off the ground.

“You… dare… insult her… again…”

Victoria’s feet dangled in the air as she struggled desperately, her face turning purple, her breathing increasingly difficult.

The shadow of death instantly enveloped her.

She used her last strength to try prying Reed’s hands loose, but his grip was like an iron vise.

Just as she was about to suffocate, Reed suddenly released her, throwing her to the ground.

Victoria clutched her throat, coughing violently. Seeing Reed approach her again, her entire body trembled like a leaf in a hurricane.

“I won’t let you die so easily.”

Reed’s eyes were devoid of warmth. He grabbed Victoria’s hair, ignoring her screams, dragging her toward the basement.

He threw Victoria like garbage in front of the kneeling men.

Reed looked at those trembling men, his voice utterly cold:

“If you don’t make her suffer enough, I’ll make you suffer in her place.”

The men instantly understood Reed’s meaning. Their trembling subsided as greed and evil gradually surfaced in their eyes.

Victoria recoiled in terror.

Reed turned to leave.

From behind came Victoria’s piercing wail:

“Reed Bennett! My father was your mentor! I’ve loved you wholeheartedly for all these years! You can’t do this to me!”

Reed paused briefly but didn’t look back, quickly leaving.

Soon, Victoria’s cries transformed into heart-wrenching screams.
