Natalie was more than willing to share the news with Rowan. She switched off her phone, her gaze tinged with joy. “Mr. Mattel, it’s been proven that my effort hasn’t gone down the drain.”

Kevin alone wasn’t enough to make Jason falter. If Kevin were to file a report now, Jason could easily deny the allegation. It wouldn’t help the matter and would even make Jason keep his guard up.

He said, “Ms. Sutton, congratulations.”
Natalie grinned from ear to ear. “Mr. Mattel, congratulations to you, too!”
They locked eyes and smiled. The two of them, both powerful, were on the same wavelength.
Natalie slept well throughout the two–hour flight. She had never felt this relieved and comfortable over the past five days in .Hallsbrook.
She lazily removed her eye mask, only to notice the blanket on her.
Why didn’t she remember covering herself with a blanket?
She subconsciously glanced at Rowan, who was seated beside her. He seemed to be reading a book. His eyes were glued on it, and he looked extremely serious.
It couldn’t be him. They weren’t that close to each other yet.
Natalie thought maybe the air stewardess was afraid that she would catch a cold, so she covered her with a blanket.
Soon, the plane landed safely.
The passengers got out of the plane in sequence. Natalie and Rowan, one behind the other, walked through the airport lobby. When they were near the exit, Rowan suddenly asked, “Do you want me to send you home?”
As soon as he said that, a voice rang out from somewhere nearby, “Natalie, over here.”
Natalie heard the sound and looked over to see Bella. She waved at Bella and replied to Rowan, “It’s okay. My friend is here to pick me up.”
Rowan’s face fell. He merely hummed in response and didn’t say another word.
The next instant, Bella sprinted toward Natalie in delight and gave her a big hug.
Bella was so excited that her eyes gleamed. “Sweetie, Ben’s holding a welcome party for me tonight. All the young, handsome men in Grendale will be attending. You’d better dress up.”
Rowan happened to walk past the two when Bella said that. He paused and glanced at Natalie with a frown.
Natalie was taken aback to see his cold glare. She wondered what he meant.
After pondering for a while, she thought it was probably because she hadn’t said goodbye to him. That seemed to be the reason.
Thus, Natalie happily waved Rowan goodbye. “Mr. Mattel, bye!”

With that, Rowan strode away without looking back.
Landon quickly followed behind, only to see Rowan’s sullen face. The frigid air surrounding Rowan made him shudder.
Landon held his breath, thinking that Rowan would kill someone the next second.
Just then, Rowan said in a low voice, “Find out more about it.”
Landon immediately caught on and replied, “Okay. I’ll have someone get on it.”
After placing the suitcase in the trunk, Bella drove from the airport straight to the most high–end mall in Grendale. Then, she dragged Natalie out of the car.
“I’m picking you a dress. One that will make you outshine everyone,” Bella said.
Natalie complained, “I’m not going for a blind date. Is there a need to be overdressed? Besides, it’s a welcome party for you. You should be the one dolling up. Or else, I’ll be stealing the spotlight, won’t I?”
Holding Natalie’s arm, Bella ignored her and said, “You’re my best friend. I don’t mind if you steal the spotlight. You can even shit on my head.
“Let’s go. MOMO has just released a new design. I heard there’s only one dress. Only those with great figures can pull it off, and most people can’t fit into it.”
