Chapter 76
Jane froze, shock written all over her face. “No… No way. Is there something wrong with your device?”
Smiling, Ashley explained, “I don’t think so. I tried two devices, but your card still declined.”
Jane was in disbelief. “Impossible. I just paid for a bag with this card yesterday…”
Bella became increasingly harsh with her words as she spat, “What’s wrong? Your card has been declined? I thought you were acting all arrogant just now. Why are you wavering now?
“I love it when the bitches try to show off but end up embarrassing themselves. This is better than watching a movie!”
Jane gripped the black card so tightly that marks formed on her palm. Her face turned pale, then scarlet. She stared at Natalie and seemed to fathom something. “It’s you. You must’ve pulled some tricks!”
Upon hearing that, Natalie covered her mouth and chuckled. “Ms. Yeller, didn’t Jason tell you that the daily spending limit of this supplementary card is two million dollars when he gave you the card?”
Natalie’s sparkling eyes spotted the price tag in front of the glass, and she said, “This dress costs 2.08 million dollars. Even though you’re holding Mr. Pereira’s supplementary card, I don’t think you can pay for the dress.**
Jane glared at her in rage, her chest heaving up and down.
Jason wanted to get rid of Jane with money recently. Jane wouldn’t give up so easily when she had tried so hard to cling to him. She had whined and told Jason that she loved him, not his money. She would never leave him.
Jason had accidentally left behind that supplementary card that time. As he refused to see Jane, she kept the card with her until
now.
However, Jane was no fool, and she would still spend his money. She had texted Jason to inform him when she swiped the card for the first time.
Since Jason hadn’t replied to her, she had taken it as tacit approval. And it also meant that she could swipe the card as she wished.
During this period, she had bought clothes, bags, and jewelry. The payment had been successful every time, so she had no idea that there was a daily spending limit.
She also didn’t expect that the dress would cost more than two million dollars.
Jane was upset that she had embarrassed herself today, but she didn’t want to be the only one in this predicament. She had to take someone down with her, no matter what.
Hence, she retorted sarcastically, “I can’t afford it, but do you think Ms. Sutton can afford it? It costs more than two million dollars, not two hundred dollars.”
Jane thought Natalie was nothing after she divorced Jason. Although Natalie was pretty well–known as an artist, she had on one artwork that was presentable so far. So, how much money could Natalie possibly have?
Even if Natalie had enough money to buy the dress, she wouldn’t be willing to spend all her savings on it.
Jane felt much better at that thought.
But in the next instant, the expression on Jane’s face changed drastically.
Wearing a faint smile, Natalie calmly took out a similar black card. ‘I want this dress. Pack it for me.”
Ashley, who took advantage of the situation, was so shocked that she was at a loss for words. “You… You own the black card from this bank, too. And yours is a principal card.”
Natalie wore the most basic outfits, and the total cost of all her clothes was even less than a thousand dollars. She was still so young, but she was financially capable of owning the card.

Ashley was full of regret. She was too ignorant and almost lost a great customer like this.
She flashed a flattery smile and reached for Natalie’s black card. However, Natalie handed it to another sales assistant next to her. “Help me with the payment.”
The other sales assistant standing at the side panicked when she suddenly got called, and Natalie said gently, “Don’t you the commission that’s worth tens of thousands of dollars?”

Natalie’s words snapped the sales assistant back to her senses, and she happily took the black card from Natalie. “Miss, I’m glad to be at your service. I’ll assist you with the payment right away.”
