Damon grabbed Hazel’s wrist, glaring at her furiously.
Since their divorce, they hadn’t had a single proper conversation whenever they met.
Hazel glanced at Damon but ultimately fixed her gaze on the woman standing beside Kin.
“Wow, you’ve got new taste now? Not bad. At least it’s an upgrade from Delilah-by a mile,” Hazel said with a smirk.
She then raised an eyebrow at the woman. “Miss, did you know there’s already a pregnant canary waiting at Damon’s home?”
Damon’s grip on Hazel’s wrist tightened, and he stepped sideways, blocking her view of the
woman.
Pain shot through Hazel’s wrist, and she was just about to retaliate when Omar stepped
forward.
“Damon! You think I’m dead, treating my niece like this?”
His voice boomed with authority, sounding nothing like a man in his sixties.
Damon froze under Omar’s glare, quickly loosening his grip as his gaze darted between
Omar and Hazel.
What’s their connection? Niece? Could they be relatives?
Under the weight of Omar’s presence, Damon finally released Hazel’s wrist.
“And you!” Omar turned to Eddie, pointing sharply. “Aren’t you supposed to be her
boyfriend? How could you just stand there and watch another man lay a hand on your girlfriend?”
Boyfriend? Damon’s attention immediately shifted to Eddie.

He recognized the man-he’d seen him before, outside the boxing gym. The same guy who
had driven Hazel during that street race.
Hazel and he had only recently divorced, yet now she had this man constantly by her side?
Whether or not Eddie was actually her boyfriend didn’t matter. The thought infuriated
Damon.
“So, you’re Hazel’s boyfriend?” Damon sized up Eddie with contempt.
He knew all the young heirs in Vernon around his age, but Eddie was unfamiliar. Clearly, he
wasn’t anyone influential or well-connected.
Eddie was about to respond when Hazel yanked him behind her.
If he spoke, Damon would immediately guess that Eddie was a fake.
“Damon, do I need to remind you that we’re no longer related?” Hazel’s voice was sharp,
her smirk cold.
Then, she chuckled and taunted, “Or could it be that you still have lingering feelings for
me?”
Her words struck a nerve, visibly agitating Damon.
“You think I’d still have feelings for you? Don’t flatter yourself! I never had any feelings for
you in the first place!”
“Perfect,” Hazel replied, her voice laced with sarcasm. “Then I hope you, Mr. Price, won’t bother us again. Uncle Omar, shall we?”
Watching Hazel leave with Omar, Damon was seething with rage.
If it weren’t for Omar being present as an elder, he wouldn’t have let Hazel off so easily
today.
And why did she get to call Omar ‘Uncle’? He had to call him ‘Grandpa Omar’!

That would technically make Hazel half a generation above me!
No way. He couldn’t let her have that advantage!
“Miss Ryu,” Damon turned, forcing a smile. “Apologies for what just happened. Hazel doesn’t know how to talk-please don’t take her words to heart.”

The alluring woman in the striking red dress curved her lips into a smile. “Oh, Mr. Price, what are you saying? That was Miss Hazel Queen—the current president of Queen Corp.
How could I dare to clash with someone like her?”
“But seeing how you two interact, you’re like a pair of bickering lovers. It’s really a pity you
divorced.”
Damon’s gaze grew a shade more complex as he watched the car carrying Hazel drive away.
If it weren’t for those misunderstandings…
Of everyone entangled in the feuds between Hazel and Damon, the one most affected was
Delilah.
She seemed to live on her phone, endlessly scrolling through updates about the two online.
One day, as she accompanied Damon to his family’s old residence for a meal, Delilah carefully prepared several conversational topics in hopes of chatting more with her future
mother-in-law.
As soon as they arrived at the gates, Agatha hurried out, all smiles as she cautiously helped
Delilah out of the car.
“Be careful now! You’re carrying our family’s first grandchild. Just thinking about holding my eldest grandson soon makes me so excited I can hardly contain myself.”
Delilah, unaccustomed to such treatment, instantly felt a sense of superiority. Even toward
Agatha, her attitude carried a hint of condescension.

“But we don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl yet. If it’s a girl, wouldn’t that mean you wouldn’t like her, Auntie?”
“Nonsense! I’d love them whether it’s a grandson or granddaughter. Our family doesn’t practice those outdated notions of preferring sons over daughters.”
Agatha was too thrilled to notice the underlying tone in Delilah’s words, but Damon did.
Already harboring little affection for Delilah, he now felt even more disgusted.
Unwed and pregnant, flaunting it so boldly-only Delilah could pull something like this.
If it were Hazel, she wouldn’t be this arrogant.
No, wait. She wouldn’t even be in this situation. The two weren’t comparable at all.
Damon suddenly raised a hand and lightly smacked his forehead. Why was he even comparing the two in the first place? He must have been out of his mind.
“Damon, what are you doing? Why are you still standing there? Come inside!”
Agatha, now supporting Delilah, had already gone inside and turned back to call for him.
Damon hurried after them.
In the living room, Jamal sat on the sofa reading a magazine. When he saw them enter, his expression remained stoic as he set the magazine aside.
“What’s this? They’re the younger generation. They can come in on their own. No need for you to personally greet them.”
He already looked down on Delilah, and seeing her stride in holding Agatha’s hand with such an air of self-importance only added to his annoyance.
If not for the child she was carrying, he wouldn’t have allowed someone like her to set foot
in the Price family old house!
“Uncle,” Delilah said with a sweet smile, “I see you’re reading a magazine. Why not check your phone instead? There’s been a lot of buzz about Damon online these past couple of

days.”
“My parents don’t use their phones much. Why are you meddling?”
Damon’s temper flared as he came in after hearing Delilah’s words. Knowing full well that
the recent news about him online wasn’t good, she still chose to bring it up in front of his
parents.
No tact whatsoever!
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have said that,” Delilah said, bowing her head. Her tearful, pitiful eyes shimmered with innocence, instantly melting Agatha’s heart.

“Damon!” Agatha snapped. “Delilah is pregnant! She can’t be upset! If you talk to her like this again, I won’t let you off!”
Delilah quickly grabbed Agatha’s hand, her voice soft. “Auntie, this was my fault. Don’t blame Damon. He’s just worried about you.”
