A Threat
A board member, who had been threatened by her, lost his temper and slammed the table as he stood up.
“It was me! What are you going to do about it? Do you want to hit me again? Just look at the way you handle things-where’s the
grace of a lady? And how could you be the president of Queen Corp? You’re not qualified to sit in this position!”
“Today’s meeting is meant to remove you from office. Only Jonah can lead Queen Corp back on track. Do you have any idea how
much damage Queen Corp has suffered under your leadership?”
“Now with all these scandals online, if this continues, Queen Corp might as well declare bankruptcy instead of running a
company!”
The board member went on and on, and with every word, Hazel’s face darkened, but her smile never wavered.

If Eddie were here, he would probably be trembling with fear. She’d been this angry only a handful of times in her life, and the
people who had made her this angry never ended well.
“David Miles, right?”
The one who spoke was David Miles, the fifth-largest shareholder in Queen Corp, holding 5% of the shares.
Queen Corp had a lot of scattered shares, so someone who held 5% was considered powerful.
“Well, since you think Queen Corp should just go bankrupt, I’ll grant your wish,” Hazel said, taking out her phone and fiddling
with it. David Miles’s phone immediately rang.
“Take a look at your phone. I just sent you something. Maybe after you see it, you’ll be willing to sell your shares to me,” Hazel
said with a smile, but her eyes were as cold as ice.
David Miles opened his phone, and when he saw what was on it, his face immediately turned several shades paler.
He quickly turned off the phone, and when he looked at Hazel again, the authoritative air of a senior figure was gone. Instead,
there was a nervousness and fear in his eyes.
Not long ago, Hazel had already figured out which board members were under Jonah’s influence. Anyone aligned with him
couldn’t be trusted.
As expected, with just a little manipulation, Hazel was able to uncover some of their financial flaws.
It didn’t stop there. Most of them were also keeping mistresses. If this information got out, it would either destroy their families
or land them in prison.
If they kept a low profile, Hazel might’ve turned a blind eye, but for someone like David Miles, it was better to handle it sooner
rather than later.
“Mr. Miles, if you’re willing to sell your shares to me, we can sign the contract right now. I’ll transfer a substantial sum to you

The stock price of Queen Corp wasn’t very high right now, but it wasn’t low either. According to market value, selling a 5% stake would be enough for David Miles to live luxuriously for the rest of his life.
But it wasn’t nearly as stable as having a steady income year after year.
Now, though, he had no other choice.
“I’m willing. After selling the shares, I hope President Queen can show some leniency.”
Those who know when to yield are the wise ones. Having seen Hazel’s methods, David no longer resisted pointlessly.
After signing the contract and receiving the money, David left the meeting room.
The others in the room were stunned. They had no idea what had just happened, but they didn’t dare say anything more.
Even Jonah was shocked by the low pressure emanating from Hazel and didn’t dare make a sound.
The effect of using David Miles as an example was quite successful. The atmosphere in the room was much more subdued than
when Hazel first walked in.
At least now, everyone looked at her with some fear in their eyes-this was the attitude they should have when facing the
president of Queen Corp.
“Anyone else interested in selling shares? I’m still buying,” Hazel said, her voice calm, but her words were clearly a blatant threat.
Anyone with half a brain could tell that David Miles had been forced into selling. Her statement, though seemingly innocent, was a
clear warning to the others.
Not long ago, she had been nothing more than an unthreatening young woman. Yet, in just a few days, she had transformed into a
ruthless, cutthroat figure. Perhaps this was her true nature, and the earlier persona had only been a means to an end.
Seeing no one respond, Hazel took out the contracts she had prepared earlier.
“These are some of the projects that were intercepted. Take a look for yourselves. Not only have we resumed cooperation with
them, but the investment amounts have also increased several times.”
Jonah picked up the closest contract and began to review it, then moved on to the second and third contracts.
It was true-these were the contracts that had been taken from them, and the investment amounts were indeed much higher than
before.
Impossible! This couldn’t be!
How could Hazel, just a young girl, manage to secure so many contracts in just a few days? And the amounts were so much higher than what the company had initially set.
