Stay The Night
After all, it was Demian’s only child in this world. This time, he had indeed made a mistake, and Agatha should be staying by Delilah’s side properly.
“Old Master, the doctor has already said so. Would you like me to send you home now?”
Butler Hank noticed that the old man’s mood wasn’t right and was afraid that something might happen to him at this critical
moment.
He had seen everything that happened last time, and indeed, Agatha had said something inappropriate. Jamal’s punishment of her wasn’t too severe, but no one had expected that something like this would happen now.
Seeing the old man like this, it seemed he was taking all the blame onto himself.
“Miss Hasani is a good person, and with Madam Agatha having taken such good care of her health recently, the child should be fine,” Butler Hank reassured.
“Call Damon and ask him to come to the hospital.”
He knew that the child in Delilah’s womb wasn’t Damon’s, but now that they were married, and Delilah seemed very dependent on him, it would be better for her to see Damon once she woke up. That way, she might feel better.
“Also, send someone to check if there’s any news online. Maybe something has come up to make Delilah so upset.”
Damon always cared about his appearance, always dressed neatly and with his hair perfectly in place. But this time, when he came to the hospital, his hair was messy, and two buttons of his shirt were undone. While ordinary people wouldn’t notice, the old man could immediately tell that he was anxious.
“Don’t worry, Agatha is inside with her. The doctor said Delilah’s condition is stable for now.”
Jamal had arranged for Delilah to be placed in a high–end ward, which was like a small suite. The room was at the very back, with a little sitting area outside and a small bed in the corner for a caregiver.
Damon was panting as he arrived. “What exactly happened? When she called me, I thought she was just trying to stir up trouble, so I hung up on her.”
The old man furrowed his brows. If that were the case, it would explain why Delilah was so angry.
Lately, there had been a lot of news online about Damon and Hazel and Delilah must have seen it. She probably felt hurt by what was being said online and, on top of that, was already upset with Damon, which caused her emotions to become unstable.
Butler Hank immediately took out the doctor’s recent checkup results to show to Damon: emotional instability, excessive stress, and the fetus’s condition was still uncertain and required further observation.
“How could this happen? Was it because of that phone call I made? Damon felt immense guilt. If anything happened to Demian’s child, even if he died a hundred times, it wouldn’t be enough to make it right.
“Don’t worry, I’ve already asked Carmen to come. Once she arrives, the child will definitely be fine.”
Carmen, is a renowned obstetrician, and also an old friend of Grandpa Mark, around the same age. He had known her sinc
younger years.
“When will Grandma Carmen arrive? Should I go pick her up?”
“Damon, calm down!” Grandpa Mark growled, “You’ve been the president for so long, managing the company on your own. Can’t you handle this little bit?”
The old master was also anxious, but the more urgent the situation, the more calm he appeared. This was the secret to his success in building the Price family into such a large corporation.
If he reacted like Damon, panicking at the slightest issue, the company wouldn’t have survived.

“Grandpa, I understand what you mean, but it’s Demian…” Damon glanced at Butler Hank but ultimately didn’t speak the words.
“This isn’t the same as work matters. I…”
Meeting the old master’s gaze, he suddenly didn’t know how to continue. His heart, however, settled.
Yes, the situation had already occurred. No matter the outcome, panicking now wouldn’t change anything. It was better to calm down and think of a solution.
The old master had this ability to inexplicably calm people down.
“Go with your mom now and stay by Miss Hasani’s side. She relies on you. If she wakes up and sees you there, it might help her stabilize emotionally.”
“Don’t worry about Carmen; I’ll bring her directly to the ward when she arrives.”
When Dr. Carmen arrived, Delilah hadn’t woken up yet. The old master had made arrangements with the hospital, and with Dr. Carmen’s reputation, she was able to use the hospital’s facilities to give Delilah a thorough examination.
At midnight, the urgent test results came out. Dr. Carmen looked over them, visibly relieved.
“Don’t worry, the child isn’t in any serious danger. It’s just that the hormones in the pregnant woman’s body are out of balance, and her emotions are particularly unstable, which caused the issue.”
“Starting tomorrow, I’ll create a plan to help her body recover quickly, but during this period, she can’t be subjected to any further stress.”
These words seemed specifically directed at Damon, as he was the only one in the family who could cause such a reaction in Delilah.
The entire Price family had stayed up, waiting for the results. Upon hearing this, they all finally relaxed.
The old master and Dr. Carmen chatted for a bit before heading back together. Dr. Carmen’s home was not in Vernon, so the old master naturally had to take care of her meals and accommodations.
In the living room of the hospital ward, the Price family was still discussing who would stay the night.
“Damon has work tomorrow, so Agatha, you’ll have to take the shift. Anyway, Damon doesn’t know how to take care of people. You’ve done well looking after Delilah before.”
Agatha had long forgotten her previous mistakes. She had completely overlooked the fact that such a big incident happened when she wasn’t around Delilah, and now she saw herself as indispensable. So, she wasn’t exactly cordial with the old master.
“You men don’t understand a woman’s heart. Tell me, what did the doctor say today?”
Agatha stared at Jamal’s face, as though she was trying to read something from it.
“Didn’t they just say that Delilah’s emotions are bad and she’s stressed? What’s that got to do with who stays the night?” Damon also looked at Agatha, confused about what she was getting at.
After hearing what Jamal said, Agatha arrogantly crossed her arms “That’s exactly it, isn’t it? Her emotic most. She likes Damon so much. If she wakes up and finds Damon by her side, she’ll be so happy!”

It wasn’t without reason, but there was also a big project at the company that required Damon’s personal attention. He was so busy during the day and hadn’t been sleeping well at night. No one knew if he could handle the stress. Jamal and Agatha both turned their gaze to Damon. “Damon, the company’s busy, and your health–can you handle this?”
