Aurora hadn’t rested well the night before and was sleeping deeply, so she wasn’t woken by their conversation.
Ashley followed Ferris outside, the resentment in her heart reaching its peak: “Why is Aurora sleeping on the sofa?”
Ferris lit a cigarette: “I brought her back.”
Ashley’s expression stiffened.
“Ferris, weren’t you and she supposed to separate?”
“Who said that?” Ferris glanced at her indifferently. “And this hot spring villa is my private property. Where did you get fingerprint access?”
Ashley was at a loss for words again.
“Your mother gave me the code. She said it was for my convenience in taking care of you.”
“It’s not necessary. This affects my private space.”
Ferris had already picked up his phone and called the security office manager, telling them to delete all of Ashley’s facial recognition and fingerprint access
codes.
Ashley listened silently, her heart filled with extreme resentment.
From her position outside, Ashley could see Aurora through the window.
Ashley looked at Ferris again, suddenly remembering what he had said a few days ago.
‘Ferris, didn’t you say you’d give me two choices?”
Ferris was stunned, remembering that he had indeed said something a few days ago when Ashley had demanded he sever his bond with Aurora and marry her
as the new luna.
At that time, his aura had darkened considerably, but he couldn’t bring himself to refuse outright.
six years ago, there had been a large–scale war at the border of Silver Moon Pack.
As the youngest and strongest warrior in the pack, he had fought on the front lines.
In the end, they had won the war.
But he had been so severely injured that he fell into a near–death state.
If Ashley hadn’t saved him then, he wouldn’t be alive now!
It was then that he had made up his mind and promised her he would agree to any request she made!
Even though her demands had become increasingly numerous and excessive over the years, Ferris had never refused.
But asking him to marry her as luna… was testing the limits of his patience.
So he had said:
TU give you two choices. One is to be a luna in name only-I won’t provide you with any resources or help anymore, and we won’t have any further contact.”
“Two is to maintain our current relationship, and I’ll satisfy whatever you want.”
He knew Ashley valued material things more.
Sure enough, when he had said this, Ashley’s face had gone rigid, and she ultimately chose neither option, letting the matter pass by default.
But now, Ashley said: “I’ve thought it through. I want to marry you.”
Aurora had just come out of the house and happened to hear this, stopping in her tracks.
Ferris looked at her: “Are you sure?”
Ashley nodded emphatically: “I’m sure.”
So what if there was no love? She wanted this status!
Afraid that Ferris might change his mind, she added: “Ferris, you promised me. I won’t let you go back on your word.”
Ferris had said he’d give her choices, but he hadn’t really planned to repay her life–saving grace with his marriage.
After all, he had already provided Ashley with enough repayment.
Just then, Ferris caught sight of Aurora’s silhouette reflected in the floor–to–ceiling window.
“Fine.”
Ferris wanted to see how Aurora would react.
Ashley hadn’t expected it to be so easy. Her eyes were full of joy as she looked smugly at Aurora behind Ferris.
