Chapter 261
Chapter 261
Luminous Divas Fashion Week provided each designer with a team of professional stylists and models, courtesy of the organizers.
That meant designers didn’t have to scramble backstage over every outfit detail or worry that their creations would be mismatched or worn incorrectly.
Niamh was seated in the audience, Quentin beside her.
This time, she had brought only Quentin along.
Since they had to cover their own expenses, she couldn’t afford to bring her entire studio team. She’d chosen Quentin because, as the only man among them, he’d be helpful for any heavy lifting or backstage grunt work.
Marina was there too, sitting in the VIP section right next to Jonathan.
Even in the dim light of the auditorium, Niamh could clearly see Marina chatting easily with Jonathan, her manner relaxed and radiating confidence.
Niamh couldn’t help but wonder what theme Marina had chosen for her collection
this time.
Luminous Divas Fashion Week was all about jewelry, with fashion playing a supporting role.
Not long after, Niamh noticed Marina rise from her seat. It was a while before she returned.
Right then, the next runway show began–it was Marina’s collection on display.
Niamh was a little surprised; Marina hadn’t lied to her. The theme really was “First
Love.”
The “First Love” collection, built around pink diamonds, was sweet and fresh–just like the impression Marina usually left on people.
She had eight pieces in the show.
Each one featured a pink diamond as the centerpiece, with a four–leaf clover motif running through the designs. The highlight was a heart–shaped pink diamond ring with petals reminiscent of a four–leaf clover.
When the final model displayed the main piece, Marina took the stage to give a speech–she spoke at length about love, and especially about first love.
As she spoke, Niamh noticed the way Marina’s soft, affectionate gaze never strayed

from Jonathan.
Jonathan, for his part, wore a faint smile that seemed as fixed as a mask.
Niamh could almost see the invisible thread of “first love” still binding Marina and Jonathan together.
And yet-
Their beautiful first love had turned hers into a venomous thorn, piercing her over and over again.
“You okay?”
Quentin, noticing how tightly Niamh’s hands were clenched in her lap, spoke up
beside her.
“Don’t be nervous. We’ve done everything we could. This is going to work.”
Snapping out of her thoughts, Niamh glanced at Quentin as he held out his fist in encouragement.
She hesitated, then bumped her fist against his.
Marina, just stepping offstage, happened to glance their way–and caught sight of Niamh and Quentin’s fist bump.
Quentin, sensing Marina’s gaze, looked up.
Their eyes met for a fleeting moment, a quick exchange of glances.
Marina’s carefully made–up face broke into an even brighter smile.
She returned to her seat beside Jonathan. He turned to her, his tone cool and even:
“Who were you just smiling at?“.
Startled, Marina covered quickly. “Oh, no one in particular. Just looking around. Why, Jonathan, are you jealous?”
Jonathan only smiled, saying nothing.
If he wasn’t mistaken, the direction of her gaze had been straight toward Niamh’s
seat.
In the front row, Miranda–seated in the very best spot–turned and shot Marina a contemptuous glance, her lips curling into a sneer.
During her speech, Marina had been so focused on tugging at Jonathan’s heartstrings with the sentimental theme of “First Love” that she failed to notice.

how little attention the audience was paying. When she finally finished, the applause was scattered and half–hearted.
Next up was Niamh.
For this edition of Luminous Divas Fashion Week, only two young designers had been selected: Niamh and Marina.
The organizers had arranged the show order fairly.
Whoever secured their invitation first would present first.
So, Marina went before Niamh.
